Yep, I just bought an 05 SJ, with plenty of mods for this year. It's do or die time for one of these skis. Now I should really be able to pick a fovorite ski. One 05 SXR highly modified, and one 05 SJ mildly modified.
The SJ has all the Blowsion bling plus:
UMI -2" pole
Billet lowerd pole mount
B pipe, found out its a mod pipe
ADA head 35cc
TDR water box
reinforced hull
Scupper
500 gph bilge
Skat Trak 13/19 5mm I think, i'm still checking some stuff
Jet Dynamics intake grate
0 deg bars
ODIs
Kenney Keepers
limiting rope
hood straps
Kickers
an uninstalled MSD enhancer and Jet Works flow control valve

What do ya think?

LOL, its copper and he has already drooled on this one a few times. He and I built it for a friend in 06, and he has only rode it a few times since, so I managed to persuade him to sell it to me.

We expect a full review/comparison between the two by Monday. From a subjective SXR and Superjet owner, that is!

that is a blessing and a curse at the same time..

I have no problems loaning a ski to friends, but most of the time if there is a spare boat sitting on th beach thats when the vultures and squids come out

I know, I haven't rode the SXR in two weeks. Still trying to get used to the SJ. It does require more effort to ride than the SXR, but the SJ rotates MUCH faster. I'm still at a loss to decide which one I really like better. Frosty is right the SJ is much easier to get out of the water. By that I don't mean the the SXR can not do it, it is still the only ski I have rolled, but the SJ seems easier to control out of the water. I am getting more air time from the SJ because I feel more relaxed about the landing, and can seem to control it more out of the water. Now if I could learn to control it in the water. Oh and by the way I rode an 08 last night and immediately fell off. Stock skis suck. lol It did carve much better though.

blackmail him about the underage girls he hangs out with?

on another note. last saturday i had a couple girls test drive my SJ at sunset and when the one came back it developed a funny vibration/NO power problem.

I dont know how to explain it. . could my coupler between the driveshaft & the motor have popped out with a 100lb girl riding it on the glassy lake?

when i hopped back on it it felt like there was grass stuck in the intake would rev but not hookup.

i dont know if the girl trying to ride might have fouled a plug or something else. It finally came back to normal after i picked it up and ran it with the pump out of the water for a minute. and all i rode it was from sunset to the boat launch since it was running on fumes by then.

its wierd how it just went back to normal. usually a fouled plug takes a long time to clear out.

might have just been something stuck around the impeller. I've had a little bit of seaweed, or even a small stick wedged between the impeller blades cause that same vibration.

I was thinkin bout an overheat sensor in the stock head, if it's still hooked up??? But, back on topic, I am riding the SJ more and more and have put the SXR in the garage for the weekends. Only a weekday boat now. lol I think a light weight SXR would be the way to go if you could get the low end pop that the sj has and remain with a somewhat limited wet piped motor.
