get a hull brace from jetskihaven, then pull the rear brace from that side.

wedo said that rips and was a blast to ride.

i'm glad i thought of it and had the hood 75% done before i gave it to him. we are going to do ours next

are you saying yes get the blaster limited chamber? what would be the best pipe for the 800 in a x2? if this blaster limited is high on the list then i cant pass it up for the price! what else will i need? hull brace and what? thanks

My lightweight's motor rubbed through one one of the plug wires.....turning my ski into an electric chair. I rode back 1/4mile getting shocked REALLY bad through the throttle cable. My arm was tingling for an hour after...LOL Gotta install new coil tomorrow. I spent the 2nd 1/2 of the holiday weekend ripping on my bro's X2.

isnt the mariner headpipe the same as a b headpipe? if so, id say that the b1 fpp ltd chamber would be a much better chamber for an 800 than a 650 mariner chamber.

Vumad school comes frist. when your done you will have more money and time to do what you want. the chamber needs a factory pipe head pipe to use and the tank has to be melted , check the other builds, like crabs , or search blaster limited pipe in x2

Yep, I was out riding with my kids and grandkids Saturday! My grandson LOVES riding with me on the X2...I started him on the SXR standing in the tray in front of me and he was never scared, so I put him on the X2 and I think he may be a litttle crazy fearless because no matter how fast I went, powering out of corners he loved it he kept telling me YEEAH! woohoo! He seriously threw a fit when it was time to stop lol

X2Pilot

Yes Lake Mead, at minus 110' of elevation. The launching has become limited, its way too crowded to go to the main launch areas and marinas, plus its dangerous...too many people in too small spaces.... so we go out to primitive sites. Its alot better riding, very few other people and the areas are very clean. However, there are many pitfalls to primitive launching on a lake with constantly declining water levels (my younger daughter testing the limits of the 4X4 lol):

The weekend before we were in Blythe, CA for the IMPROS sponsored BBSD III Jet Ski gathering. The event drew50+ boats from all over the west coast for some good times and great riding on the Colorado River. I will post some fun videos, but seeing as this is the X2 forum, I begin with some pictures from that weekend...

I'm in the last week of this semester. Then I have a month off... but I start my new job driving the ambulance as an EMT.

I'll have a bit of time soon. The hull is a hold up. I can pay Tom to install the engine (as the new pipe needs to be finagled in and tuned) and his sponsons but I can't do anything until the nose is done. I have a great deal of faith at the moment in the benefit of reshaping the hull.

Iceracer posted a nice step by step thread on pwctoday for installing the limited chamber. I'll try and locate it......here you go: http://www.pwctoday.com/showthread.php?t=162136

We just installed one on my friend's 750 and had to:
1. cut the lord mount off the stock exhaust manifold
2. clearance (dent with a hammer) the chamber near the exhaust manifold
3. add a 3/8" water nipple to the stinger to keep the hoses form melting
4. installed a 4" ID x 3" long silicone coupler with T-bolt clamps for chamber to headpipe connection.
5. drilled 1.5" hole through both baffle plates in the stock waterbox. Doing the 1 big hole versus several smaller increases the noise considerably over stock, but does sound good to me.

We were able to use the stock 90 degree elbows and shorten the hoses but is a VERY tight and ugly fit. Getting a pre formed radiator hose with a 90 degree bend in it and then cut it to lenghth would be a better setup.

Major difference over the POS Westcoast pipe he was running. We're now putting in an SXR prop to take full advantage of the power.

Maybe in stock form but I think a modded kawi motor is the way to go. Kawis already have the stroke the yamis are looking for...I've only ridden my race ported stroker 785cc yami but I think my 800kawi is just as good and cost much less to build than a stroker. My X2 rips my arms off

For topend power, I agree with you. But bottom and mid....Yamaha wins hands down. My little limited setup 701, blows my freestyle ported 800 Kawi away on low-mid. The kawi does pull harder up top (alot harder). And thats just a 701 with a pipe. I rode my friends team scream 4mil 803cc(?)....no kawi I have ever ridden has come CLOSE to the low/mid torque power! I HAVE to have one.

I have wondered alot about the claim to torque the 701 has. I am not in any way a veteran in the pwc era however stroke and bore along with port height's are what the two stroke are all about and I personally alway's had kawi dirt and street bikes they were the dominator's lol they were also the kx-250 and kz-900's
the crab sez the 701 is the bad boy that man is someone that you need to listen to however I still am the diehard kawi fan.
send me a yami to ride for free for one year and I will give you my honest opinion haha

I am buying another boat from the crabster and am trying to decide what to put in it we'll see I have nothing against yamaha at all. I might have to go that way.
a buddy of mine is toying with a 3 cyl. 40 h.p. four stroke tohatsu outboard motor in a js 550 hull right now and it is cuter than hell.
I'll try and get some pic's there is going to be alot of fab involved in dry sumping it and building the exhaust manifold.

ive been thinking about this. why the need for a bed plate? (for us)
why not grind the bottom of the hull figure out any alignment and or issues. and glass in 2 10mm thick aluminum details one per side. tapped for sj mounts and spacing. once you put a 701 in there you are not going to go back.
