I had a great time this year and plan on coming next year, but I wanna camp next year. I'm all for the first of second weekend in June. I run a fireworks tent and we always set up around the third weekend it was all I could do to get away for the day this year and camping was out of the question. As for the mowing I can throw an old push mower in my truck and we can all take turns mowing if we have too .

Hey ShowmePro, Are there any homes or cabins or lots for sale on your end of the lake? My mom, yes I said MY MOM, has given me the ok to find her a small place at the lake. Let me know if you see anything that looks promising. I don't want anything huge I still have to do the upkeep on this new place. Thanks man

showmepro1200

Depending on where its at, a lake front lot is about $1,000 per foot, give or take. Again, really depends on location though.
ski_crazy
08-26-2008, 11:51 PM
The prices there are getting stupid. But there is always a good deal somewhere. The more people that are watching is better than none. Location doesn't really matter right now. I was thinking more towards the Eldon side around "Y" road.

Showme... you didn't miss too much.... My girlfriend showed up (looking GREAT as usual), Lou handed out a ton of freebies, we all had a great time doing nothing. So you didn't miss much....:veryhappy:

Lou, Whitney was talking like he wrote the entire story and then submitted it. He then called them to see if they just axed it from the lineup or what since it wasn't in the magazine, and that is when they told him that the magazine was lined up months in advance that that ride was penciled in during the winter months. So the story is in we just have to wait for them to get it in the publication. So as an answer to your post I sure hope he threw those names in there when he wrote it.

bring a few extras, Im willing to bet you can 'give' them to folks there, the 2 years ive been on that beach, ive always loaned out my stands for folks with nicer skis that didnt bring tires/stands.
Im bringing tires this year too.

Isn't it a dry park. No alcohol allowed? So you have to keep it in inconspicuous containers. I am sure if your playing beer pong and the popo drive by that is a dead give away for a walk around.
I don't drink but I will watch and make fun of the drunks so bring the table... LOL

Ah, what's a dad to do?
IMO the pong table would be a bit too wild for this area, even though we do have the area to ourselves (almost).
Story on the table - Experimental, the self-proclaimed "king of the find" pulled it in from the Lake of the Ozarks (last year Jake?) after a big rainstorm down there. Turned out to be one of those very very nice plastic top folding-leg tables you can get at Lowes ($90).
He's also found a round picnic table, and oh, a Kawasaki couch as well

Jeff what did you guys do with the Kawi couch?
showmepro1200
04-10-2009, 07:49 PM
I didn't tell the whole story on that - Jake went out riding (on our Pro1200)early one sunday a couple years back, and he came back and said "Dad, there's a waverunner floating out in the main channel". My first thought was someone had had a problem (heart attack?) and fallen off, but he said it was cold and dew-covered. So I had him tow it back to our dock. We called the MO Water Patrol and the lady on the line said "oh, someone is going to be very happy with you, she just called in frantic that her parents PWC was missing off their lift". We got the phone number and towed it back to them, they were a mile or so down towards the dam (2mm) and across on the HH side. There were 2-3 40-something gals there, it was her parents cabin, they had taken rides on Saturday and when they raised the PWC on the lift they turned it off and didn't turn the shutoff valve. Of course you know what happened next - what's really scary is that PWC floated in the main channel all saturday night and for a mile downstream - its only a miracle that someone didn't hit it with their boat. They were very happy to see the machine returned - Jake made $20 for his good deed too. :bananapowerslide:

Ill get the glass work done and have it painted soon and hopefully ill be able to come up for the money for the motor (im closing on my first home purches on the 22nd so Im trying not to spend any money till I pay the down payment and closing costs etc..). Its the assembly im a little worried about I guess. This is my first Yamaha and I dont really know any tricks or anything. Maybe I can get Mark or Lou to come over one night. I think you guys are underestimating how close total strangers can be after sharing in one night, 48 beers, a hand full of gummy worms, and a broken taint.
me and moonie are like freinds and stuff.
I still dont think she will come, and if she did I think she would take your galvanized pole and beat you with it ( with one hand, as she fed me worms with the other)
hahahahahaha
im messing with you Moonbabe.

Edit - and so no one accuses me, no I really didn't go looking for that site - it was just ironic how it was posted up (today) on a gun site I also frequent - I couldn't help but link it here :-)

Where did you get your pole and what did it cost? Is it a x pole?

That is awesome.. It is my new favorite video...LOL
Another funny thing... My wife told me tonight that she was going to start a pole dancing exercise class like Carmen Electra's class. Just if she worked it like "miss Trixter" on the video I'd bring her and have her take all the drunks money..

Ok I started the thread and you guys fill it.
We need
1. Slickest or Sickest trick contest.
2. Grudge matches (fastest ski contest)
3. Planning so that the grass is mowed...
4. Two of Drunk Boating's friends bringing their 64', and 54' Sea Ray Sundancer's for a doubleup sponsored by Monster Energy.
Text Foster at 310-594-7979 if you think this is a good idea or if you just want a place for your chick to hang out while you ride.

I understand you are scared by the amount of awesome i've posted above. Dont be scared!
We've been around doing this longer than water patrol was a factor. As long is the double is 100' back from the boat, which on a 54' and 64' boat wont be hard, there isnt a thing they can do.
You dont have to be sane, just legal. I've posted a pic of the wave from the 64' at speed. if we slow it down a little, it will be insane.

The x-pole is a new pole that is mounted in bearings so that it will spin. The girls in the video above are on x-poles. They don't slide down the pole while spinning around it. Less skill I would think all you have to do it hang on and it will keep spinning. Either way I like it.

Yes like free. It may take a few weeks to get edited up. We may release a DVD of some of the action at some point.

This is the last week to get your shirt orders in. I will be ordering shirts next Sunday. I might have some stickers made if my printer can keep the cost down around $2-3 each. So bring your extra dollars if you want some stickers.
