posting pics with dialup

i was going to update my wifes build thread with the final pics, tried the manage attachments, left that for like 30 minutes, keeps saying uploading pics, then tried imageshack, still nothing, this is the first time i've tried to upload pics on dialup, is there something i'm missing??? is there something else i'm supposed to do??

you really need to watch the size of the pics. Get them down to 50-100k or so and you should be ok over dialup.

don't want to sound stupid...but how would i shrink the whatever k size, most of mine are like 1600-1900kb

That's an easy, free, well written program for changing image size. I've been using it for years.

I think that computer has the gimp or fireworks on there. tell me witch one and I will tell you how to shrink em.
