yep they fit right in and dont hit the tank . a friend had one laying round at his work so he put it in his sxr to try it out . he quite liked it . he was a racer tho and used it mainly for running buoys. it sound pretty good to but quite loud

*EXTREMELY* loud. i had a similar pipe on my 750, and it sounded like a demonic dirt bike on roids

mate i have a blaster stripped back to a bare hull to build up first.
and 2 15F turbo/super charged engines to build
and maybe a 1040/951 engine for a gp ski.
i will do it in the next month or so.

better late than never , here is what the mod pipe looks like in a new x2, was playing today and trying diffrent chambers. i ran it back round to t he wtaer box ot keep the noise down

I have one of those chambers but have never run it in anything. I was told it was more of a top end pipe. If you call FPP they act like it never exsited...

it seems to work really well, i would def run it if i had one instead off buying another chamber. hte bottom and mid wasnt that far behind the blaster chamber

W-nut did you ever try it with just the in line silincer that comes with the pipe.
did you notice any change in performance from water box to no water box ?
i am running mine with out a water box at the moment and its a bit on the noisey side
thinking of doing what you have done and refitting the box

i personally didnt run it with just the in-line silencer. that chamber has been round a few skis now . a friend did try it in his sxr with just the inline silencer and it isnt that much quieter than with out it. we only tryed injecting water into one off the injection ports on the silencer tho. now difference in power tho between with and with out. slight power loss running it back thro the water box but barely noticeable

thanks mate
i tried running water into both fittings into the silencer no diference still really loud.
i will pi$$ the silencer off and run the waterbox
just though it may have gone a little better with the water box with a bit more back pressure

IM running that pipe in my wamiltons hull. I had to shorten the sliencer about 2 inches because the engine is set back. Also had to trim part of the cable holder bracket for clearance, but it fits well. It really saved a lot of weight not having the water box and all the extra plumbing going up in the nose of the ski. Saved about 25lbs.

they fit with a smaller tank. My buddy had that and he threw in a raider chamber and really noticed a power gain, still had to run the 2.2 gallon tank.

i could not handle the noise :aargh4: of the crappy silencer any longer
what i did was to cut the exit off and cap it and convert the chamber to a center bleed system
i was then able to run the sxr water box
the ski hits heaps harder now and does not have that terrible noise any more.
all with the stock sized tank.

I ran that pipe in my sxipro for about a year it was loud but not to bad but i used a radiator house in between the stinger and the chamber it cut down the noise significantly. Its not a big low end pipe mid to top end it screams it just keeps on going from mid to top. Who ever said its a factory secret is right. They wont talk about the pipe what so ever no recommendations on jetting they will not tell you anything about it other then its for super stock racing after about 5 phone calls and weeks of pestering i got Group K to give me a little info on it and they seemed Guess exactly right on the jet size and popoff weight. with 93 octane ada domes and jetnetics flywheel run 65.5 bottom the lightest popoff spring silver color i think and 175.5 on high jets 3/4 to 1 turn out on high and low jets and the carbs are pristine.

Factory Pipe is always like that on not saying anything. They swear up and down they never made a 650 Kaw manifold. Well maybe they didn't but the 800 SXR Wet Pipe and the 750 XiR manifolds are in fact a 650 manifold. I gave up on them.

When you ordered a 650 pipe from Factory Pipe or Westcoast. They did not supply a manifold. Westcoast offered an aftermarket manifold. It was the same size as the OEM manifold so no real performance gain.
When I was building my X2 (in 91) Team Butch told me I was wasting my time and money ordering an AM manifold.
FPP supplies manifolds for the 750's and SXR's because the OEM manifold is a totally different design. They dont have a choice.

Yeah BK I know this about 650 manifolds but my point is them denying they that they ever made one. There is some benefit over early model 650 manifolds vs late model, 1991+ manifolds. The diverter is steeper inthe late models. Plus aftermarket 650 manifolds have more cooling options.

If I am not mistaken, back then, they did not make the manifolds. They did not even make the manifolds for the 550 full pipe. You had to get a westcoast, Jetsport, PJS, or Mariner.

You are mistaken because I have one that is from the 750 XiR pipe and it is the exact same manifold they sell with the 800 SXR wet pipe.
The 750 SX/SXi wet pipe had a similar manifold but the top three hole bolt pattern is rotated compared to normal 650 pattern.

I found a new 650 manifold that is finned and has the Factory pipe logo etched into it. It looks like a Mariner, they apparently made parts for each other in the early nineties. I have ads for 750sx Mariner pipes that are polished FPP pipes.

Yeah I have seen that manifold as well. I had a 650 FPP I sold once that came in a Mariner box and had Mariner instructions.
