Hey guys, I am new to X-H2O but I am already learning a lot! I recently picked up a nice 650SJ that was completely gone through and all fresh. It is a ton of fun but I am looking to up the power if possible and make it handle a little better too if possible. It is a fresh motor that was profressionally redone 1.0mm over, it already has a Coffman's pipe, 175-180lbs compression (stock head...milled?), rejetted, etc. Wondering if there is anything else other than putting a 701 in that will wake it up even more. Also it has a Riva Groovy ride plate and a westcoast intake grate but it isnt very deep (would like it to hook up better while turning at speed)...I read the sticky and it sounds like the worx 201 is the best one...where can I get one and what do they cost? Any other imput on upgrades is more than welcome!
I'd imagine your running a SS impeller, but if not get one...or if you got one check out the pitch and consider upgrading to a newer swirl design. Also lightening your stock flywheel and a wetwolf cone will give you a little more ooomph off the bottom...worx 201 are the most popular choice but good luck trying to find one used for a decent price...I use a R&D top loader and can't complain, they can also be had for a fraction of the price.

Thanks for the response...yes I have an SS prop, not sure of the pitch but it seems to be right on as far as acceleration and revs out pretty good. Where could I get the flywheel lightened? Any idea what it would cost? I was wondering if the pump cone was worth it...I may have to look into one. Not sure what I want to do about the intake grate...I am not sue which style mine is, but it does not hang below the hull so I dont think I already have a toploader...but it does have a scoop?

I got my flywheel lightened for $55.00. PM me if you want any details.
I am in the same boat(literally) as you. Looking to add some more pop. I am gonna go with either modding my CDI to bump up the rev limit, or maybe just swapping the 650 CDI with a 701 CDI I have sitting around. Although I honestly can't remember the rev limit difference between the 2, but I now the 701 is higher.
As far as handling goes, my SN came with an extended WestCoast rideplate with 2 skegs on it. I pulled that off and threw a stocker on, and it was much more fun to play on. I may even D cut the stocker now.
If you find out any good tips, please let me know.
Yep, D-cut the stocker and get an Xmetal or Waterdawg turnplate and bars, or mod your stocker to accept a straight 7/8 tube. You can also move the ball stud on your steering nozzle in a little to make your steering quicker.
