Sxr Compression Aftermarket Head

im shopping for a new sxr this weekend and already starting a shopping list for hopup goodies--- always ran yami stuff so need a little help on this green thing-- what cc head will give 180psi compression-- jsu said 26cc domes (always had good luck with jsu stuff)-- ada website says 32cc-- cylinder is not getting ported--- will be run on pump 91 octane-- also what difference is there between 750 and 800 head-- i have ada 750 head-- where is the cc increase in the 800 coming from over the 750- bore?? stroke?? both?? help a kawi dumbass out. thanks.:clown:

the Drys make good power, but they are prone to having the mounting brackets break. May want to look into a wetpipe.

if you have a ADA750 head shell, just get the domes for it, dont see why it would not work.

if you go with a wet pipe, a cheap alternative is the R&D Head (Non Girdled), Macc showed up at Nationals in 2006 with this head!!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^thanks- im thinkin wetpipe, head, and...DONE--- rode the hell out of a friend of mines last night-- bone stock-- and had a blast-- kinda fun riding with no footwells again-- havent done that in a while-- VERY superior handling hull compared to what im used to-- 01 RN-- keep the RN for abuse and the sxr for a good reliable carver/ cruiser:Banane35:

I'm running a 28cc JSU with 185 compression on 91 octane for over a year with no problems.

Have you ever run a sxr dry pipe BK? if not you should just stop from letting your fat fingers type because you have no 1st hand knowledge of it

The dry pipe is a bit of a pain in the a$$ but it is well worth it.
I own boats with both pipes and the dry makes way more power everywhere.
If your going to use the sxr just a turning lake ripper your should have no problems with it cracking.

People all over the county have had them crack. Why do you think FPP keeps changing the design? Many of the used Dry Pipes you see for sale with have "Brackets broke and were rewelded, or Pipe Cracked and I had it re-welded and we added some additional material to it to reinforce it, but everything works fine".

I know the pipe mounts crack. Mine cracked. But also got 3 seasons of hard riding and multi-surf trips (before I hada surf only boat) before it cracked.
For general ripping around the dry pipe will give more power and is super easy to keep dialed in. Ask that Kx454 dude. He'll tell you how much better a dry pipe is. If you building a boat just to jump and ride hard in the surf go with a wet for everything else get a dry pipe.:Banane09: oh and that's MY opinion:bananapowerslide:

I had a friend crack two dries and not only on the brackets, but the welds split too. He dumped it and got a wet. (very little difference in power) It had a little more bottom and a little less top and mid. :smile:
