15 year old Lee Stone has beat former World Champion Alessander Lenzi in the UIM Championships in Portugal this weekend. Congratulations Lee!!!

FINALLY????? Lee was competing in Pro 24 hours after he won the World Title in Amature. I seem to recall that he finished 4th as a Pro 24 hours after winning the Amature Class. And, if the subject of him competing with the Pros in Europe comes up it is because there is no Amature class in Europe. Also at the time he was under the age of 16 so even if there was...he was considered a Junior. (Stop me unclehulka)

Sorry, I am just a little touchy when it comes to Lee. I guess when you have followed a kid like this since he was 9 years old you have a tendency to be a little protective.

i think with that kind of funding for any youth, anythings possible. we're young, our bodies and minds are very ... "i can't get hurt" mentality. our bodies for one are a lot more forgiving than you old guys :biggrin: (just kidddding)

sure hes 16, but i bet hes well fit and trained. probably as big as i am at 19 yrs. old :banghead:

im not trying to push buttons, but i think equipment wins 90% of his titles. im sure he puts many hours into his riding though.

Lee has never looked that big to me - in fact I'm always amazed at how small he looks on a ski! Whatever people say about equipment, the kid's got unbelievable talent. If you're right about his equipment then I could jump on it and have a 90% chance of beating Lenzi, and I'm pretty sure that ain't going to happen....

It makes me angry when people see a talented person and say "well I could do that if I had his equipment/support/parents/flag"!! Either quit crying and do it, or admit that only a talented few reach that high a standard.

Lee can ride your boat, let you ride his, and he's still will make you look stupid.
He has a gift and I'm glad he choose this sport. We need more guys like him!
I saw Lee ride in Havasu and was blown away with his skill. You can see the enthusiasm in his riding. To see him ride personaly will make anyone realize that the kid has got something special, and it def is not his equipment.

Nedra has been supporting our sport since before most of you even knew what a jet ski was. She is the jewel of the world finals, and she cant be missed.
I for one appreciate Nedra more than most. I was even too nervous to introduce myself to her in Havasu.

He's dad just beleve in him & invest on his kid but he had a good reason to do that, no ???? (every body can dream to have a Dad who beleve in his son & help !!)!!! But Now Lee is independent, he do his own busness (he deal parts & Mormai wet suits on his web site at just 15 y) he made by himself his web site to, he LOVE jet ski so much & train a lot to get a so good level to be N°1!!! I watch some Lee stone video...f*ck'n gnarly kid. i was out of line and a little heated (got grades in from classes), cooled down and definately take back what i said about 90% ski vs. skill. i realized, even with the power you'd have to know what the hell youre doing with the power.

i think it'd be awesome to ride with the kid. i think he sets up a great image for the sport to attract new, younger riders.

does anyone have pictures under the hood of any pro skies?? i just thought about that...and you never see any...
