I did post this is the riding group thread, so I apologize for the re-post, but does anybody have any recommendations for a good mechanic/shop in Wilmington, NC area? I have an '05 SJ that I have some questions about. I took it out twice this weekend and on Friday it was bogging down pretty bad. Pulled the plugs--they looked just ok, not the best, but I don't think they would have caused that much of a problem.

When I went out on Sunday (I did not change the plugs) I ran into a few issues. The first is that 9 times out of 10 when I landed a jump, the motor would bog to the point where I would be back in the water.

The second, after a few of these terrible landings, it sounded like there was some type of knocking from the motor. It only lasted a few seconds and then I did not experience it anymore. I pulled the plugs today and there was a lot of crap on them. They weren't just fouled, there was actually some sludgy substance on them. Any ideas on where this may be coming from? I've cleaned them off, but still can't get it to fire. And I haven't had a chance to pick up new plugs yet.

Third, I seem to be taking on a lot of water. I have the bilge running all the time and it is always pumping water. Does anybody have any tips on locating a leak/crack (besides visually inspecting the hull)? I cannot see anything anywhere.

So, to get back to the original question, does anybody know of any shops in the Wilmington area?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
