Ok the pole on my FX is definitely off a RN. As near as i can tell, it still has the FX turnplate. But im not sure what steering cable is on it. Could an FX cable work on a RN pole? Or was it swapped for a RN cable?

I thought about it a little harder... It must be a RN cable on there. Whats the difference between a SN and RN cable? I need a replacement cable as this one binds and i need to figure out whats on it.

Fx1 cable will not work with RN poles. As far as I know all yami turnplates are interchangable (fx-1, SN, RN)

Supposedly SN cables have less throw, but I know of a few people running them in RNs with success.

the SN cable is actually longer than the RN cable, you would have to cut and rethread the ends. to work on a RN Pole.

K thanks. My problem is that it binds and pops when turning to the right. Is this something common? It kinda seems like it was bent at full extension and straightened. I cant find any marks anywhere though.

you need to check the throw when you have the ski on the trailer or a stand. you may need to cut it shorter if it is hitting when you turn it hard left or right, just see where it binding, you may just need to clearance the steering nozzle a bit.
