View Full Version : sxr wetpipe and 28cc head
Hi,
I have a 05 sxr and I want to fit a factory wet pipe with r&d 28cc head.
I would like to know if it's possible to use 93 fuel if not fitting the advance
plug, or by using a thicker head gasket.
Thanks

I am running the FP with a JSU 28cc head without any issue, and I was running the FP electrical advance of 6 deg. Now I am running the CDI-9R.
you were using 93 fuel?
Thanks

93 Sunoco with 13 oz oil, per 5 gals. Low speed screw at approx 7/8 out with factory pipe. Never any high speed runs over 5 - 10 seconds though, only for tuning the top end.

Sounds like a nice set up. What kind of rpms you pulling up top?

It sounds about right for your nozzle size & prop.
Do you know what curve set your running now?

Hello,
I just had a CDI-9R installed and not sure how to set the two switches. I just received some documentation from Blowsion (purchased all the parts for them) and I am running curve 5. They warned me about badly damaging my engine if I just start trying different curves.
At the same time I had the CDI installed, I also had them install a JSU 28cc head, wet pipe and V-Force reeds. Ski is back at the shop having a lighten charging flywheel installed, prop, cone and bored nozzle.
Any recommendations on CDI settings for pump gas sure would be appreciated.
thanks for your help!
Eric

You should have the documentation that comes listing all the pre-set curves in that CDI. I run an Advent T3 and 4 pre-set curves were programmed in with a thourogh breakdown of each of the 4 curves and how to set the switches. Whatever the preferred curve set for ur engine setup be sure to start out with one less curve set to ensure you are not burning a hole right into ur piston.
