so here's the story...i have an '89 650 x2 with a mikuni 44 carb, west coast intake, jetpro exhaust and a skatrac 55(its what written on it) impellar. the question is when i run it on the hose it has great throttle response but in the water it seems to bog down, then clears out and runs good then seems to bog down again. also the water coming out of the side of the ski is really hot and on top of that the motor gets so hot that when i toss some water on it sizzles off. any idea what could be the reason for these problems?

is their steam coming out of pisser had the same problem it was head gasket blown

no steam, but i thought it might be the head gasket also. do you recommend any specific gasket. what worked best?
