I have a stock FX1 and my prop has a chip in it. What kind of prop should i run in it. I heard that the factory prop is real good. what do yall think.
I will be putting probably a b pipe and different head.
Any suggestions?

If you're staying with a stock pump, I'd run a 18/23 Skat and have it set back.

I have the stock pump on mine with a solas 18-24. I have a stock head and just recently put the b-pipe on. I'm hitting the rev limiter, so I'm gonna get an msd enhancer ignition for a higher rev limit.
Setting Back an impellor means that they machine down the back of the impellor to set it closer to the stator vein section. It helps the pump hook up better.

Yep. It's a good one. Your "FX-1 pump adventure" has just begun. :grumble:
You might want to do a study on Special-FX's pump mod for the FX. It's the easiest way to make the boat really perform. The rest is up to you.

Oops..my bad...How close are you to Bonsai Bob? He's the man with the 144mm Superjet pump mod conversion. Decisions..decisions. There all good. :highhorse:

definitely look into putting in a bigger pump before you go and spend money on a new prop. its a must do mod for the fx-1. if you are gonna do a pipe and head you wont get the full performance gains with the small stock pump.

i would get an 18/24(or close to that) 144mm prop and turn it back
it will have a better hub shape than the 122mm impeller
