Myself and a bunch of the regular stand-up crowd were at the lake on Memorial Day, when a reporter from a local news channel asked a couple of my friends to be interviewed about safety on the water. I was thinking "oh no, here we go with the jet ski bashing..." but it actually turned out really well. The guy even referred to us as "veterans" and "old pros." Anyway, here's the report:

Nice, good to see some positive publicity. Yall are crazy putting in at redtop on memorial day. I used Tanyard this weekend and stayed off the main lake just because of all the newbie boaters. My wife got interviewed about boating safety last 4th of july when we were in Tampa visiting my dad. They were on the boat with the cops when she got pulled over because they thought my son wasnt wearing a lifevest in the jetboat. I think they just wanted someone to interview.
Very well done. Great way to represent our sport as a whole.
I'm sending this to Chris Mathos from the AWA..........
I can see some swag heading your way from the AWA!!!!!

Just to clarify, *I* personally didn't do much of anything except sit on my ski (that's me immediately to the right of Greg right at the start of the report). It was Greg and Daryl that did all the talking and deserve the credit.

just out of curiosity does anyone ever go near little river anymore? It is good to see some positive publicity for skis.

Jetskis were in the news again tonight in Atlanta:woot: Rescuers used pwcs to rescue some kids on the Chattahoochee and there was some dialog on how Key the PWCs were in the rescue and also footage of the rescue.
