The GRITS were off the hook at the chickenbone Sunday,oh yeah the food was ok too,just kidding Justin,your resturant serves some awesome dishes.If you are not from the south you do not know what GRITS stands for,its a southern thing yall wouldn't understand lol.

But to answer your question, I guess the best way to describe it is to compare it to Cream of Wheat, except that it's made out of corn. They kind of have the same consistancy as grits, but can be fixed different ways depending if you are eating them for breakfast or supper.

finely ground corn dried and then prepared w/ boiling water and butter ( breakfast)

our grits finely ground yellow corn grits mixed w/ grlic,butter, and sauteed corn (dinner)

Not true at all. My friends mom used to make em with some good stuff. Don't have a clue but they were good.

But you are right, I will eat about anything.

Don't forget about Lutefisk. I never heard of it until I started listening to a radio show originally based in Minnesota. I assumed it was a Northern dish for that reason.

It's primarily a Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish dish.
