New superjets in short supply?

I emailed a dealer looking for a new superjet and SXR this is what he told me....."currently have two 800sxr in lime in stock. superjets are in very short supply right now and yamaha is not shipping any. this will absoultly affect the sxr inventory also".

Is there any truth to this?

Yes, I put a depostie down in October and I still had to track one down.

What is going on with yamaha? Are they doing this to raise demand or is there a problem? Do you guys think this will effect the price of of the SJs or SXRs?

I have spents hours today trying to locate one. Everyone keeps saying they have the kawis in stock. I can get one here tomorrow, but MSRP plus tax is the prob.

there is one at the yamaha dealership here in st augustine.been sitting in the showroom for about a month

Extensive case porting and cylinder porting
new style 48 novis
Type 9 pipe
electric over air operation of the pv,s to allow me to use a decent pipe on the engine

ATV/Dirtbikes already have green sticker/red sticker and red sticker have limited times allowed to ride at dunes etc...

Just picked up an '08 from Action Yamaha in NJ. They didn't seem to have a problem finding one...
