I have been keeping my eye open for an inexpensive x2 for the past year. I finally found an 88 for sale. I should be able to get it for $200 running, but the guy told me that it runs for a while and then just quits. Does this still sounds like a good buy?

Ditto, get a compression gauge and take it with you, if the cylinders are close to 135 and close together then buy it. It could just need a carb rebuild kit or even just cleaned. If it has a title I'd pick it up for sure.
