I just wanna say that i am real glad i picked up an X2 this winter!! the thing is a ton of fun! havent had that much fun on the water in a long time!!

I'm running it on lake so mostly flat water with a few boat wakes.. do you guys reccomend a toploader grate or just a regular two bar grate without the scoop for maximum water pickup when leaning??

i think toploaders are better for chop. is it a stock x2?

a regular scoop grate would be better on flat water. a top loader is more for real choppy water (ocean, really big lakes) also a top loader will lower your top speed on flat water.

A top loader will load the pump best at high lean angles. Tubbies also keep the pump loaded in hard turns because they lift the nose and lower the tail when up on edge.

The Jet Dynamics is a little less agressive then the R&D. I like the Jet Dynamics best.

Hey Pete, didn't you say you are running tubbie 2's? Also, will they cure the problem X2's have of falling over at speed if you are a little off balance, seems you posted somewhere they will help initiate a turn if the boat starts to roll. Thats the one gripe I have with the hull design, if you keep the trim high it won't do that. I'm thinking of installing some this winter, that should cure the problem. I also was toying with the idea of modding the front section under the nose, to widen and flatten the center chine. This would make it more like the 550/750/800 hull in front. Any thoughts? Jeff
