ok i picked up a couple of x2's and started a build, got both running and test rode them both .what mods will give them some cajones and make them go. i've read some of the other threads but none state where to start for a good improvement that can be built on in time. a750 upgrade probably is out right now. so just looking for idea's . one picture is basically the way i got it the other. the other was under some pine trees uncovered on the powerlines and got a fresh coat of paint.both seats got recovered and both got bilge pumps. both are fun and ridable but lacking in power.some ideas where to start would be great.

Just look at the mod sticky at the top of this forum........there are enough mods there to make your head spin.

Thanks.
Just ran it for the 1st time this past weekend and couldn't be happier. I had a 750 in it last year that didn't even come close to the power this thing has. Still have some final tuning to do but not much.
For the 650, here's what I suggest for more bottom end:
38mm or 40mm Keihin carb OR 44 Mikuni SBN
Coffman pipe. Westcoast makes a noticeable improvement too.
SS impeller
180 PSI head
Wetwolf cone
Items 2 & 3 should really be done at the same time.

It's going to cost just as much to upgrade the 650 engine as it will cost to buy a 750 engine with the same end result.
Buy upgrades that you can use on the 750 or resell later. A pipe you can resell. A 44mm carb you can put on the 750 engine when you get it. etc...
