View Full Version : Hood
What up guys,
Ok, maybe a stupid question, but I have to ask….I know the reason for hood strap is to secure the hood, but why is it coming off to start with? I’m installing footholds in my sxr and want to try a barrol this summer :splatt:, is there any chances of my hood coming off ??? If I land side ways or something?
Thanks

with the SXR hood, the hood can slide back and cause the latch to come loose, for freestyle you really need straps, I have had mine come loose in races just from burying the nose and the water pressure pushed the hood back.

the day I got mine I was doing subs and my hood came off as I was going in, sinking a brandnew ski isn't very fun.

I haven't totally lost mine yet, but I did look down one time in the surf and see it dancing around with the latch loose while it was still locked. lol Good thing I had the hood straps on tight. If you are going to try BR dow yourself a favor and get hood straps and keep an eye on it.
hood straps = good
Well i don't want to sink in my jetski ...THATS for sure :smashfreakB:
i've heard hood starp are cheap..right? also from the sounds of it, if i want to do a sub and a barrol i should get a hood starp :thinkerg:...i've never acutually seen a hood starp installed...is it going to scrath my paint? and whats a good brand?
Thanks
