I am finishing up putting together my 780 back togther. X2GUY's trim system works INSANE! I cant wait to try it out (hopefully this weekend)

how about doing things 2 times over, pulled motor out going to replace bendix this time as well as put in a new starter not a used one ,a mitsuba the orginal oem starter

hey crab on the db store on ebay they have a brand new starter for 77 dolllars and one for a 108 dollars both are new both are mitsuba which one did you get, they also have a bendsix going to buy from one place save on shipping

The 77 dollar one is not mitsuba.

thanks, have you ever had any bendix issues on your x2, the reason i am asking is when i looked at mine today one of the clips is a bent maybe that is causing some problems

i will post picture tomorrow, when i was in fla the last day it would not start just wind then at home it starts great, and then every other start or so it would only spin. if i hook battery to starter leads the starter turns
Early years had a washer in front, later had a spring. Check your bushing in the cases front and rear for worn out.

I went through 3 bendixs in the past 2 years between my 5 boats. I would worry too much. SBT actually has pretty reasonable, nice shiny "new looking" bendix's.
