1 water coming out of pisser is hot i am using a ocean pro head with the 25 cc dome, the exhaust water is hot also i have rear exhaust and on one ride i had barefeet it was hot is this normal, when it gets warmer up here i was going to try the stock head, its not steam so i dont think its the head gasket, the cooling lines are on the right way
2 the ski cavitates a little at very low speed when about to take off and then it hooks up i am using a 15 prop which is brand new and smaller pump cone, is this normal
i run a 15.5 + stock cone and never had that problem. my water was very hot this summer too and i had a stock head. so idk bout that one.

Mario, I tried running a 15.5 on my brothers 750 x2, and it did the exact same thing. Switched to 9/17 and the problem went away. You have a 750 in that ski right?
My pisser is hot to the touch. I wouldnt be too worried as long as you dont boil water on the motor.
I have to agree, them 650 motors seem to run hot with single cooling.

its a 650 motor i think i sealed the pump good maybe retry again, i can take things apart real quick on this ski, this thing is like a go cart on water lots of fun, i love the sound of the ski it reminds me of the grand prix yamaha two strokes

When I first bought my X2 and I rode it barefoot I was scared that the water was too hot. I remember thinking that it was darn near hot enough to burn you.

My old X2 would almost burn you. When I would ride the hood, or just do something crazy and end up with my foot up on the rail, it caused me to jerk back and eat it a few times.
jerk back and eat it a few times.

I have the simular problem also on my 91 650 x2. The engine actually does get pretty when its running...splashing water on it will cause it so sizzle off...any suggestions why?
