That's a good way to get the feeling of being inverted. I used to use qa tramp when I was learning rolls on the wakeboard. I even had a skateboard deck with some straps screwed in to practice grabs and such. I can't imagine putting your SJ on there though. Good cardio workout also.

We're getting one for our kids in a week or so, I expect to be on it quite a bit this year.

man those things are too fun. I did however hurt myself on one. I did a frontflip and opened up way too early, hurt my back pretty good but it was worth it laying on the trampoline, watching the kids laugh at me lol.

I had 1 years ago to learn tricks & flips on a snowboard. Fun as hell till you fly off and land on the ground.

Not to be a buzz kill, but I watched a freaking trampline litterally ruin someones life...
Do not let anyone else use the trampoline! My old neighbor got sued REAL REAL bad when someone elses kid injured himself on it. Check your homeowners insurance, most state that you are NOT allowed to have a trampoline on your property in the fine print, and they wont cover trampoline related lawsuits!! It sounds crazy, but you have to be careful!

I love trampolines, but I absolutely hate the static buildup you get on yourself.

i have a 12 footer in my back yard. My 7 year old daughter loves it. I get on it sometimes, but not to often. Its a good fun cardio workout.

i used to be the trampoline master..we would wet it down and get two kids to double bounce me and i could look down at the second story of the house while i was flipping..i went on one a few months ago and almost killed myself

I was one of the few girls to be able to do a back flip on the trampoline, back in the day when they were actually allowed in schools. I'm quite sure I would die if I tried that today.

i had one in high school. we used to get like 4 or 5 of us on their and play king of the tramp. the last one still on the trampoline wins. good times!
just make sure you get one that is 14ft or bigger. the smaller ones suck.

'most' is not correct, 'some' either require a rider or specific safety precautions (net or fence) or a few don't allow it.

my niece's have one with the net around it. the youngest loves to do cartwheels and try all the gymnist stuff. she was amazed that i could jump and do backflip after backflip without stopping. was jumping on it another time and actually hit the ground with my right foot and it screwed up my lower back and hips for about three months.

plus i just decided to focus on jetskiing, its way easier..:loser:
plus if i stuck to trampolines id have to do flips....

Ive seen you ride you don't need a trampoline for practice....you just need to pucker up and do it......look for small waves 5-6 ft not 12:bigeyes:

Doctors and chiropractors love trampolines. They keep the waiting rooms full of kids that smacked into each other, fell to the ground or got whiplash. Smaller kids, especially, are very susceptable to neck related strains and other injuries on those things.
I would never have one on my property. Ever.

Teach your kids and set rules, and have an enclosure and that stuff really isn't an issue.
Heck, ER's love jetskiers...I know I've given them plenty of business in Hawaii, Daytona, Louisville, and I think somewhere else just can't remember.

All good ideas. But remember, one person on the trampoline at a time, or something's inevitably gonna happen. And yes, the net is a must, especially where your kids are still little.
Yeah, I've given the ER and the chiropractors plenty of my $$ for my own injuries, it's my kids and the neighborhood kids I'd worry about most.

I used to love hitting the trampoline when I was at a friends house when I was a kid. I got back on one a few years ago for a few minutes and realized what a great workout they can be. I also realized how easy it is to take a wrong jump and jack your back.

I suggest keeping your tongue inside your head when jumping.
Trust me, I know - I just about bit my tongue off as a kid doing something similar.
Ever get stitches in your tongue?

I have had one for some time now...
Don't let anyone jump on it, unless you really trust them.
I don't think it translates to jet skiing that much....
It is a good workout though and does help w/ balance and toning.

to make falling off less painful a friend of mine had his dad dig a hole in the backyard and they put the tampoline in it so if you fall off the ground is not too far down
kinda need a big yard and a back hoe though

Yep that is correct.
The only good one is the floating type. Don't need one to learn a BF anyway , the master instructed me how to pick the wave, hit it, and just let off the gas and fall backward to get the feel of landing upside down. I have done that a couple times now and know no its not a big deal to just stay in it and ride it around. http://www.aquajump.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=10

get yourself a BMX frame take the crank and wheels off, duct tape t-shirts to the sharp parts and you have yourself a trampoline bike....they are so much fun to throw backies, and just completely ridiculous tricks. i like doing backie stuff on a trampoline because it really helps to teach you how to spot your landing.

that is how i used to practice snowboarding in the off season, it helped a lot for tricks but you had it right when you miss the landing and come off the trampoline it hurts like hell
