unread posts in header section

what happened to the number of unread posts that used to show in the right side under Welcome, TXJFrosty? I like that feature...

Had to disable it and a few other items for a bit to get our cpu usage under control.

I believe the "stickies" use alot of CPU time as well. you might look into that.
