My involvement with Riot

With Regret, my involvement with Riot Radio is over. As this was not my wish or decision, Evan being the owner of Riot has decided that Trevor and I are no longer a part of the shows, designs, interviews, representation, etc….. I was offered a minimal fee to continue to “play” on the message board, but I felt this offer to be insulting after all the time and effort that I have put into Riot for the past four years. It has always been about my love of the sports and never about money or recognition.

As I feel that this was not handled in a professional manner or even how you would treat a friend, I really have no choice but to honor Evan’s decision. As most of you will become aware, I have deleted all of my pictures and posts on the Riot site, as they are my property and representative of my hard work over the years and therefore are leaving with me. Hence, the good news……

Paul, Darin, and Harrison are giving me a new home here at the X! I will still be able to share all of my photos and information on future events! I am also in the process of moving all of my pictures from previous events to the site, where they will always be available for you peeps to view! I can’t thank you all enough for the support, encouragement and kind words that you have given me in the past years at Riot. I know that I will enjoy being a part of X-H2O as I appreciate the opportunity to still be involved with such a great group of people!

I want to assure you that the Riot Ride will go on as planned! It is going to be off the hook! Numerous people including myself have put in a lot of hard work to make this the biggest and best ride so far! It is going to be the event of the year and we plan on raising an incredible amount of money for the Georgia Sheriff’s Association of Youth Homes!!!! Even though Evan has not been a part of organizing or planning the “Riot Ride”, I feel it is too late to change the name back to the “Lanier Ride” but I promise you that this ride at Lanier will always be a big part of the “X-H2O Freeride Tour”!!!!

Well, here’s to a new beginning! Thanks so much to X-H2O for the love. I won’t let you guys down. Can’t wait to see everyone next weekend!

I have had the priviledge of knowing Ronny personally for the past (27) years and had the wonderful honor of calling him a true friend. Even though he works for my company on a daily basis, I have always known that his talents and ambitions were not really with the catering business. So therefore, I have always tried to support his efforts and work on Riot and also his presence at so many of these events....(even when he would be dragging butt into work on Friday mornings after the shows - he would always crack me up when he would actually fall asleep cooking on some Fridays.....LOL*).

I have personally been witness to all the hard work and late hours that he has put into the success of Riot and thus my true sadness that this happened the way that it did! I have always believed that Riot Radio was Ronny....... He put it on the map with his awesome pics and of course his girly pictures.....:wink:

I am so happy that the X has given him a new home and I so appreciate all of the support that he has received since this has gone down. I truly feel it is Riot's loss and defintely X-H2O's gain to have such a talented and devoted person such as Ronny to continue to promote the future of the sport!!!!

This is a true testament on just how this wonderful Group of people rally, help and support each other! I am proud to be considered a part of this sport and community!:hail:

I never posted at Riot, but I have spent quite a bit of time as a lurker.

The first time I heard Ronnie's name was several years ago when he was so kind as to create all the sig banners for the PWCT peeps. He didn't know me from Adam, but made an awesome one for me, even taking the extra time to ask me what my likes were. ( unfortunately I lost it when I lost my lap top. hint/hint)

Then I met him briefly at the Texas ride and to be honest I half expected him to a cocky a-hole. Boy was I wrong, he really is a nice guy and that especially came through when I heard him ASKING someone if they thought another person would MIND if he posted a certain picture. That was a class act. Amazing photographer, nice guy...Riots loss is certainly x-h2o's gain.:cheer:

His own camera. Photographers own the photos they take bottom line. If I were to do a shoot of a model for a small mag and then FHM wanted to buy the same pics for their mag, it's up to me and me alone if I want to sell them. Now if there were a contract between the model and myself saying they were ONLY for this mag, diferent story. OR if Ronny and Evan had a written contract relating that all his pics were property of RIOT then it would be RIOTs property.

people would check it out for different reasons. Some came for MX, some for skate, bmx, crazy links, and some came for the chicks.

Since riot radio had nothing to do with the organization of Lanier, we will not include it as a contributer.
I was representing riot during most of the organization of the ride. I had lots of help form people, (mainly MILF) but no assistance from Evan (riot radio) other than front page info. Which still says the event is at jet ski cove btw. :rolleyes:
We decided to move it to the campground at last years event. It only makes sense to have it where the rider actually are hanging out and riding.
So you can probably understand. I've been Phased out of riot, so I dont want Evan to take credit for all the work weve done to put this thing together.
Thats why Riot Radio gets no credit for the lanier ride.

Sorry to be the last one to read of this -- I might have missed it completely had I not gotten a phone call from Ronny today.

Seems like the end of an era. I will never forget the day Skigrly (Bobbi Kennedey) called me and asked if I would do this Riotradio Interview - I had NEVER been to the site(or heard of it) - and had NO idea who anyone was or what was going on - but I heard that Kevin from Wamiltons (now of legdrag.com) was doing it also so I was in!!! I picked up a bottle of grey goose & proceeded to get sloshed before hand! It was AWESOME! I had such a blast!!!

The chemistry amongst the guys (this was PreSabrina) was insane & they were SOOOO quick!! I knew I would get along fine with them. Since then I have been on various trips with them Indianapolis for Dealer Expo, Vegas TWICE for SX, the EXTremeys, Florida, Havasu, Nashville & the first edition of the riotride.

All through out Ronny Trevor Pat & Sabrina and Evan were so accomodating and so fun -- Trevor peein'g his pants - Trevor Neekid - Trevor with "jellyfish" all over the hotel room floor - Ronny & his cloves - Sabrina & I crashing Randys' truck - Sabrina & I bombing around during the SoCal flood - Ronny passing out on his "good ear" and Bri throwing JIB Tacos at his window - Ronny's truck & gear getting pissed on - No lettuce on the 2 dozen tacos - $60.00 at the JIB Drive through in Vegas after SX- I mean I could go on and on and on --

What made riot take off & become as known and as popular as it is today, is/was the PEOPLE who represented riot. The people who dedicated their own personal time, and money to make that site, & the show, become a force in this industry, and that was acheived. These guys did this for the love of all sports, mind you us watercraft peeps have had the most benefit since that is their own personal loves, but they made contacts and relationship across the board.

I am so saddened by this news. I don't understand Evans decision, but I also haven't heard why he made this decision. I am sure Evan has his reasons and goals & visions for riot that we aren't privy to, and I do wish him the best. The Riot "CREW", as I always referred to them, are the reason I have my worst (best) hangover - will NEVER again eat a "Magic Bean" and always sleep with one eye open!!

Regardless of board affilitation Ronny & Trevor, Pat, Hans (anybody remember him), Sabrina & Evan will always be considered friends to me. I am thrilled we got Trevor & Pat posting over here too - I hope we get them to stick around!!! Lord -- Trevor -- remember Dennis Rodman?? The Nekkid Fireman carry & my step mom referring to you as "the male version of Laurel" (we are vodka slayers through and through) -- Mexico "Hey Alabama"!! I am DYING Laffing here!!!

not to sound like a fag, but this site isnt about naked chicks. theyre all over the www if youve ever bothered looking. truthfully, i think the riotradio link was out of place here, but its obvious, by its disapperance, that the link wasnt about "riotradio", the site, per se. it was about ronny. i dont see how riotradio ever shedded a positive light onto the sport. twas a great site in and of itself, but i dont see how it fit into the sport aside from some PWC forums..... anybody can add a pwc forum to a board.

i think ronny did more for riot than riot did for ronny.
