My firefox has been acting up real bad lately. I can't figure out whats goin on. I wish I had taken screen shots, but nearly everyone's avatar is replaced by someone elses, even avatars are coming up in place of smileys. And my bottom taskbar won't work, and it has extensions like firetunes and forecast fox running. I've unistalled and reinstalled, cleared the cache, I even searched for firefox files on my comp and deleted them before I reinstalled. I can't figure it out!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I do realize I can live without forecastfox and so on, just trying to figure out why its so messed up!

oop I'm an idiot. The reinstall has fixed the avatar and image displaying problem and the bottom toolbar was just covered up by my taskbar.:tomato: :smashfreakB:

But when I maximixe any windows, they are too big and go under the taskbar?

Get a Mac . Though FireFox isn't your best choice on the Mac.

that is strange. you might post your problems over on the mozillzine forums. they are very active and should be able to get it straightened out for ya.

I still haven't made the move over to firefox, I did for a while, but I never really saw why I should, so I never installed it on any other computers, and my ex has the firefox now..

So what am I missing?

1) tabbed browsing - I cant imagine navigating the forums with out it.
2) extensions, there is one that lets you remove anything from a website(like an ad that flashes at you) there is one that you can block anything and it will never load again like an unfriendly work avatar. there is one that adds previews to google so you can see all the sites before you click on them. there is one that adds the ability to zoom in on images. there is one that adds the ability to download all of a particular type of file off a site (example if you didnt want to save all superjetts zip files one at a time you you can download them all at once with about 2 clicks. you can have your favorites/bookmarks at every computer you use updated as often as you like. there is one that lets you use rss feeds. there is one for gmail that logs you in and tells you how many new messages you have right up top. there are so many others that I use I could go on all day. once you use it, I mean really use it you will never go back to IE again.

once you get it just click tools/extensions/get more extensions. jst go through and read through a bunch of them when you get a chance.

tabbed browsing is the best for forums. I would have 40+ windows open if i didn't have tabbed browsing.
