i still have alittle more work before painting. first im cutting the tray sides down alittle like a x-jet look, second the hood where the fire ext goes is being cut out then making it flat. im not running the pole through the hood just getting a rick roy type pole "making it", then doing alittle cutting where the back tie hole is the make clearance for the trim. any thoughts?

Don't know where you ride, but I wouldn't bother with trim.
Looks good!

Cool build. I've been watching this one. I would like to get an FX-1 for the wife.

What kinda primer are you using? Sealer or primer or both?

Nice build, I have an FX-1 as well, so I will be watching this build as well. Did you install tubbies? Looking forward to seeing how you lower the hood, trim, what pump setup, motor combo, etc...

if your going for a flat water backy, you need to start looking at a pump modification, intake track mod also........

looks alright...the built in chinpad makes it look kinda flat though. I am sure it could be worse! I'd run it first before swapping, may end up being the perect pole for yeah.

The problem is, i don't know the first thing about glass work, and my friend that started it when he was unemployed got a good full time job. It took about a day to do the one side rail, gas cap, and tower lines filled in. Then it was a stand still. Plus i didn't want to put the stock pump on it, waiting to afford the bonzi bob pump.

2 f**kn years. and 1 to many.

It was to be done last year but my friend that was doing the glass was laid off and then rehired.

Didn't realize buying a completly bare hull would take so much work.

That whole setup is made by Goose to ur specs.

http://www.x-h2o.com/showthread.php?t=46552&highlight=goose+pole

Great guy to deal, some were having issues but i had nothing but good things to say about him and the pole setup. Everything weighs less then 8lbs.

I will in about 2 weeks. Highroller and alot of other hardcore freestyle guys use them and say they are the strongest and lightest on the market,

And cheapest. 400 for everything built to ur specs. Mines neg 3 inches

650sx kawi 140mm pump.
Very easy to install and cheap. I got everything done for less then 300.
That included the glasswork, pump, skat prop, 900zxi driveshaft, and specialFx bearing housing.

This thing should rip. I will post pics up of my pump now. There are tons of threads on the comparison and price of both the bonzi and 650sx pump.

I'm my situation it was the cheaper route. And i was told they both do the same and the extra 4mm doesn't make a difference.

Ya i like the goose pole. It's about to be powdercoated.

I think the gas cap filled, the other lines taken out, and the hood changed really make the fx hull flow better.

If the first ride out is anything like this build was. IT'S GOING TO SUCK....

I hope no issues with the pump.

Well the bottom will most likely be the same blue. But we have 3 more colors we are adding in with some design after our short season. We have some kawi green and bright orange we may use. Who know about the pole, i was thinkn black but not sure.

Open to ideas.....What do u think? Oh and my friend can now gelcoat, so i may go that route. Also had thought about a black rubber like bottom cuz rocks.

Well no pics, but im did get to take her to the lake. I got to the lake around 1:30 yest with some friends. Drop in and started heading away when i noticed i was taking on some water. Brought her back and trailered her to see my probs.
Found the hole that was taking in lots of water, then i noticed i had lost most of my gas into the hull.

I found the prob, crack in gas tank and hole not plugged. Called a friend to bring me 5minute apoxy and some expandable foam. Fixed the probs and rode.

The ski rode pretty go, steering was alittle screwy and carb wasn't tuned right. But
being pretty much stock with just a port job and pump, its had 10 times more throw then the stock fx-1 pump.

OH, BY THE WAY, DON'T CUT UR HULL LIKE MINE. IT SUCKS ASS. It's a complete pain in my ass to get up without having leverage for my elbow and since i cut it for a trim setup its worse.
