1 launch on the island but plenty of cart access is available.

not going to close the doors to anyone and keep it safe for all

i will have the finacial info from them before daytona and have the fees established
also working w/ pbfd for ems services and discounted hotel rates.

turns out the launch the sounside of the site does still have a launch for the couches

A few details:
** Lodging that is friendly and safe for trailer'd skiis. Some places don't like the trailers in their parking lots. Some places don't have security for your precious skiis :)..... any ideas?

** Buoy off the public beach to seperate the skiiers from "joe public"...... what are P-cola requirements for riding next to joe-public? is this an issue? I've been hassled before by the lifeguards near hotels. Just want to be sure we don't have an issue.

** buoy course on the bayside for fun runs..... good idea?

** MASSIVE BBQ set-up? or have Hooters come out in FULL FORCE?

** Ocean side.... If waves are decent - get some good photo's of jumping action..... put on a DVD avail through this site or downloadable? Have a jump off? Style points vs air vs best crash?

** Prize for the X-2 that runs all weekend with out pulling out a tool :)

arranging 24hr police security ( my friends at the station) will be included in the event fees

fee = 20-25.00 dpending on howmany commit and who steps up to sponsor and vender

everything over the cost of the event will be contributed to the local lifgaurds,beach ems and awa

1 food vender lined up and possibly icecream truck

don't think they put the grills back in w/ the new pavillions

working on :

insurance ( liability)
hotels
permits
vendors ( minimal vendor fee to help w/ the initial costs)
sponsors ( come on guys, step up and be seen)

video will be made and distributed

the police sec. will maintain the public bounderies for their saftey

someone bring the bouys and that will be a sure thing ( our group dosen't own any)

I see you've got some information in this thread & then link another thread with other information. Something important might get posted that people will miss if there are too many threads.

Ya, i got a job the day i got back. I am a supervisor at a greenhouse now. The most non-suspect job out there. :smokin:Hopefully i can pull enough hours, not spend any money on chasing girls, and actually save enough to get down there. What i learned from daytona is getting down there is the hard part, you can always figure out how to get home later. If worse comes to worse i will just sell my project car or part it out to get the cash. Student loans!:bananalama:

Just putting a feeler out there for a backup plan..... If anyone is coming down I-95 from the northeast for this, I will pay a large sum of your gas $$$ if you can take my ski. I dont think I can get the days off to make the drive, but I can defintly fly in. Other plans are in perliminary stages to get the skis down as well.

I haven't been on one since i was 13 and we were trying to tube and kneeboard behind a stock one. LOTS of floundering. surf was about waist to chest consistently with an occasional bigger set. not much room between them though. little bit of chop but nothing to make it un-ridable, just enough to keep the surfers out of my way :-)

and yes that is a square. its now black though. that was about a week after i got it and got the motor on it running...it has since been transformed.

Any word on this yet Justin? I am curious as well since i couldn't believe there wasn't wifi everywhere in daytona. they must be a few years behind and judging by the condition of the makai i don't think wi-fi was a high priority anyway.

It is just that matt and i will want to share the freeride spirit with those who can't make it by posting pics of what is going on. Otherwise people (skeptics) will think that it never happened. Like in daytona when people didn't beleive the envy hull or whatever was real.
