Got the blaster running and seems to run pretty good. The only issue is that it was taking on ALOT of water very quickly. At first I thought it was the midshaft housing, but when I filled the hull with water it was mainly leaking from the pump shoe area. What would cause this?

Hi, Mabe a broken water fitting, either the water inlet or the bilge outlet ?
The pump shoe itself can only leak from the 4 mounting screw unless the hull is damaged.

That's what I was thinking. I'm going to pull the pump and the battery box and see if either of the fittings are loose or broken. Come to think of it, one of the pisser streams was pretty weak so I wonder if that's the problem.

I had a major 'leak' in my js550 that ended up being 1 of the pissers came off partially.

Bilge hose was not even connected at the back of the hull. I am using it for dual cooling so the pump was just pumping water into the hull...
I guess that would also explain why the pipe was running hot too:banghead:
