RIDING: Lake of the Ozarks Section 2. This is about a 10 minute drive from the camp ground. From State park section 1 head back up to the main highway and go left. Then you will go left again to ride spot. There will be a sign up sheet at the ride spot and we will be giving away some attendance prizes - thanks to the great companies that chipped in. Make sure you sign up to win. We will be having the drawing and group picture at 1 so come back to the ramp.

I am one of those people.

It isnt a spot for someone that falls off their ski alot, or for a ski that doesnt run well or is hard to start.

Keep i mind, i DONT like to ride around much boat traffic, unless its someone I KNOW well making waves for us.

that was the first time I ever met ketsair, and we were following each other and jumping the wakes of 25'+ boats, he fell, I turned back to the left, and a larger boat, going 45+ mph split the difference and went between us. We might have been 50 yards apart.

I went back to the beach after that, and rode in the safer areas only.

Oh yeah, as soon as the date is set, I will make campground reservations, thats a good way for me to " make it happen" with the wife.

there were some OTHER sites, mentioned in a thread on pwcyesteryear likely, that were closer to the ride spot. they were primitive, no flush toilets or electricity, and I think you might STILL have to drive to take a cooler, or anything you cant carry on a ski with you.

the drive does suck, its 20-30 minutes from what I recall, BUT.
the camp area is NICE, quiet, and everyone was friendly.

I will look back later on and give you the other camping options, I recall were they were ona map, I can find them again.

You weren't there the first year the Stlouis crew went I guess. We were riding out there in the "you could die here" spot and there were so many 30+ foot cruisers going in and out of the cove that there wasn't really enough room for us to jump waves.

We did jump waves but even with us keeping spread out it was dangerous and I am one of those people that will jump a guy on a tube if he would lay still long enough. I ride close.. I mean exchanging paint kinda close and I will admit that there was some close calls..

It is a BLAST even if there is someone on the beach cursing and throwing stuff because their flywheel goes through their motor 2 times in the same day and they hydrolock their motor on another outing and then have a water line break and a exhaust coupler blow... all before 5 PM.

I still wouldn't miss it this year... Plus my new girlfriend lives there I gots to see her...:Eyecrazy:.. Well her husband is pretty cool also...

they are all right below the end point on the above map ( within half a mile from section 1)

My end point might be slightly off, the missourie state website sucks my taint as far as maps are concerned!

Yes and no. From hwy. 42 when you turn into the state park it is a distance (4mile) and just dont speed especeally through some horse riding stable area. You'll be pulling a jet ski and if you go over the speed, we all look bad. Now the camp ground is close quarters, you can yell across each section.if they were empty. We walked through 1-2-3-4 down to the water in no time.

I didn't mean that you couldn't toss up a tent in any section. Just that section 4 was more premitave tent camping. It seems like forever for us to get from the main road to the camping site. I like the 30 second drive off of the road to the camp or to the water. Remember I drive 350 to 400 miles a day I would like some things to be close and easily accessed...

So Lou what site do we have?? We need to be close the the alky and his BBQ. I will check with Richard tomorrow to set up driving arrangements. He is planning on coming but we don't know if we are going to take the motor home. We will have a 4 place trailer is we need to haul some skis. I will have him post here to make sure that he is coming.

Here is the link for the Ozarks site that shows all of the camp sites with descriptions. There is only one cross road with only 4 sites on it in section 3. Which makes our camp sites 57, 58 60, 61.

I talked to Richard and we will be bringing the motor home with the 4 place trailer. 1 seadoo 3 seater (spare) 1 Seadoo HX (Matthew) 1 FX1 (Richard) 1 Wetjet Kraze (josh) 1 Hybrid broken on the bank superjet wanna be (JR's) And maybe a spare sit down in case my ski breaks down.
