i just bought this today as you can see the outer flange fits inside the stainlees pipe. it is just tack welded in .does it need to be welded all the way around. also it came with a rubber gasket do you use this to stop leaking in ski,or5200,epoxy and filler. ive seen a few people use these i just dont want water to leak in boat because its not welded all the way around. but then again it will be out side the boat. any sugestions

I would epoxy on the inside and out. Then you wouldnt have to worry about it.:cool2:

i know how to bond it to the hull.look at the first picture.this is made up of a stainless pipe spot welded to a flang. but the flange mounts inside the pipe.im worried about water leaking though the pipe . will 5200 on the backside correct this. also has anyone done this using a stock water box? just making sure its not to big . im cutting in to it this weakend.

I guess you could get it welded but never heard of anyone having too.

5200 will make it part of the boat. you will not have to worry about leaks!
