intake manifold question

ski came with d g aftermaket intake manifold it has 42mm opening the 38mm kehein fits mounting holes, would the 42mm carb bolt on to same holes as 38mm

Yes it should.

Yes the 38, 40, and 42 are interchangable. I have an extra 42 I am not going to use.

I looked at the 42 tonight, its newly rebuilt with only 3runs on it...but one of the fuel nipples cracked when we removed it. Looks like an easy fix, but I think these are pressed in, not 100% sure. If you are interested let me know.

hey shawn sent pm i am goin to try taking nipple out of old carb i have i think they are pressed in and do come out. if i can then i will buy yours i like the idea of 42mm carb my intake is 42mm, and group k says that a 42 mm is the ideal carb for mod 650.

Sounds good, let me know. It bought it to try to solve my tuning nightmare, which turned out to be a cracked headpipe. It only has 3 runs on it since the rebuild, I went with a 46 on my 780. I dont know if its the "ideal" carb for a 650, but I didnt notice a big difference when I ran a keihin 40 and switched to a sbn 44....

I have $195 into it. I paid $125 to someone on here in May, and then groupk rebuilt / jetted it ($70)

..........but your an x2 guy, so you can have it for $75 shipped, just buy me a beer in daytona. LOL.


Here it is installed back in May/June with said busted headpipe that drove me to drink....alot.

hey shawn which nipple is broke the one that is a 90 degree, or the one off the fuel pump, which is straight, no problem about the price dont sell your self short on shipping but is should be not that much its not heavy toronto ontario canada m6n 2g4. i tried taking nipple of old carb off 550 and got them off with good channel lock pliers. do you have any exhaust 90's off waterbox. looking forward to daytona beers of course lots of them, staying at driftwood next door to main hotel, might come a few days earlier staying with family in sarrasota for 2 weeks hopefully i will get this x2 done by then
