i bought this x2, it has the bilge pump mounted behind the motor by the dshaft....does anyone have tips or pointers on how to get to it w/o pulling the engine ? or maybe mounting a new one somewhere else ?
long arms, it can be done but its a pain. Thats why I installed 2, in case one goes bad during the season.

My bilge pump was just wire tired when I got it. Well, not a wire tie... one of those brackets that screw tighter like on the rubber for your gas tank... not sure what they are called. Anyway, they used one of those and tightened the bilge to the support. It looks like it was pretty solid and wouldn't go anywhere even after a beating.

If you pull the carbs and/or the exhaust pipe you can get to them, barely, it really does not take that long to pull the engine though and slide it foreward, even just to the point where it is up against the gas tank.

Yup, if you pull the carb off you can reach the bilge pump.

I just pulled the air cleaner off mine to get my arm in there and I have big arms. I somehow managed to glue it down as well...
