is it that the extra 3 layers of glass gonna save your hull from braking ...i dont want the extra weight....thanks

Then put a gallon less fuel in your tank, and you will lose 6.1/2 pounds right there!:Banane01:

What would reinforcing weight, a whole 3-5 pounds?:cool2:

reinforcing is a must!! I regret having not done it to my round nose... now she's cracking at the bondlines, around the pole bracket and at the nose. My square nose hull is getting the full makeover...

Yeah it's pretty neat :cool2: .

If you are going to be surf riding, I'd recommend a good amount of reinforcement and get more power to overcome the added weight. I went a little overboard with three layers I think. But the peace of mind that my ski can survive pretty much any pancake not to mention survive getting nailed by mack truck (or RXT for that matter) is priceless :headbang: .
