aftermarket blaster bars

i seen people with all kinds of bars on their blasters and i was wondering which are the best and where to get them. my blaster has stock bars and i want to get some wider bars. what do you guys recommend?

i just went with some tag racing motox bars. Look around in local shops near you and test um out, see if you can find a set you like. Just gotta be 1 7/8 bars. Or is it 7/8? yup its 7/8.

I like pro tapers with a high rise (and no cross bar) to do over the bar tricks. you'll have to get bar adapters since they're fatter.

Pro Tapers w/o the cross bar. I'm on the taller side so I used a tall bar adaptor. The height is much better now.

Looked on the PT site but there are many to choose from and don't see universal bars.... worried that makes won't work for a Blaster. i.e. bar knarls won't be aligned with ski mount, etc.

Also don't see risers.... just triples with different cushions.

I bought the tallest ones the store had. they arn't going to just bolt on. you'll need to buy the bar adapters. you'll probably have to drill holes on the steering head for the adapters, not sure since I put mine on a custom steering set up.

so check it out... i went ahead and ordered that set of bars...

i had to go to ace hardware and get some longer stainless metric allen head bolts to make it through the stock mounting bracket

i also had to drill a hole for the pin on the start stop switch and for the stock throttle lever.

still need to file down the left grip area(grip wont slide over the rough metal), cut the bars a bit shorter tomorow... they are soooo wide and adjust my throttle cable... its a bit tight right now.

unfortunately i ran out of daylight so it will have to be done tomorow.

ill take some better pictures tomorow in the daylight once the job is complete...

I used to run PT's or Renthal Fatbars on all my bikes. I would like something taller than the UMI bars I have on my blaster now. I used to like the Doug Henry bend in the PT's...... I wonder how they would feel on my blaster.:thinking:
