hey, get a 9/17 skat swirl cut back, killer bottom end, don't get a 12/17 skat swirl like me, very minimal bottom end gain, & lost huge top end. Im going to get it repiched to 9/17.

What else have you done to you ski as far as performance mods go?

loose the Ride Plate or cut it short. As for intake grate, get the worx maxiloader grate for the SXR. Timing advance is good, also, you can send your stock prop to Dave at impros, he can add his machine finish to the prop and repitch to a 13-17 with 3mm cutback, it gives really good improvement. Look for a FPP Wet Pipe also.

Yep, ditch the plate or cut it off. I wouldn't spend money on the reeds... go with a cut head or an aluminum flywheel instead.

PS...I am still pretty happy with my stock impeller. Doesn't it come stock with a Solas Swirl 12/17 Aluminum?

I think it's a 13/18 Stainless Steel, but very good all around. Mine is a Solas 13/21 Concorde impeller w/5mm custom cut back from Impros. Slighty better all around for my set up.

That prop is great, the biggest difference is it pulls harder through the midrange. top speed is about the same as a worked over IMPROS OEM prop.

impros always pushes solas. I'm more of skat trak fan.
The stock prop is hard to beat on a stock boat.

I take that back, the boat that I compair mine to has a worked OEM prop, so he is running better than OEM Impeller.
