I have a 04 sxr pretty much all stock except for - skat track scoop grate, bad attitude handlepole, timing advance, and TBM radeplate and sponsons on the way. can anyone give me some advice on what to do next to keep it legal for racing ski stock?

...all depends on your skill level. If you're new to racing, just get out there and learn how it rides. Get faster in the corners until you can tell exactly what's holding your times back. Then (and not until then) should you be worried about getting too jiggy with mods. You can spend a ton of time on modifying a stocker to run 54 and get there quick, but it's pointless without getting to the limit of the boat first.

I hope that helps, from one stock rider to another :beerchug:

listen to Marvin, he knows what he is talking about, learn to ride the piss out of it, you already have a good start. I would dump the skat grate unless it is the one with the ears cut off, and get the TBM grate.

well i raced all this year with a completely stock ski and basicly mopped up. i took 2nd in points this year. i would say not bad for a rookie, not trying to brag or anything but i can really rail the ski and have total control over it i just think it doesnt have enough balls.

Well, sounds like you are ready to move up to limited class. Now you just need to know what dry pipe works best, and decide were you want to send your stock carbs. Trinity Composites builds a sick Carbon/kevlar 8lb hood that would drop alot of weight from up high, for a lower center of gravity. The Hood is 1k but is the best there is.
