squarenose steering on a round nose?

i just bought a round nose pole to put on my square . question does the square steering different or is it the same for a round nose

The steering setup on the pole (turnplate) is different and not interchangeable.
Are you trying to put the square stock stuff (turnplate, bars, etc) on the roundnose pole?

i was going to if the pole i get doesnt have everything .if not ill just buy anumi or xft set up.

Get UMI Steering with an xmetal plate, and that will fit on either a square pole(with the addition of driling 4 holes) or a roundnose pole.

ive got the stock squarenose turnplate bolted to a round nose pole in my garage?

there is no chinpad on it , and the steering isnt hooked up, but it seems to fit?

I'm talking about a small plate, with bolt, that hold the steering cable to the pole.

The cables & turn plate will work on both, but a squarenose cable has a little less throw at the nozzel.
As Matt was saying, you might have to make a little piece to 'lock' the cable on the roundnose pole so it will not shift when you turn the bars. Just shape a small piece of alum to hold the cable. You will see what we are talking about when you get to that point.

so the steering is the same just the lenth of cable.? im a little confused maybe its the beer i had. will the umi fit with no modiications.and i dont have to chanfge my steering
