i broke mine a couple off weeks ago as well crab except mine was a good break , the ocean helped me do a d cut to mine just need to smooth it up some

Lol, interestingly enough the replacement one has the cast in ribs go all the way accross and looks stronger. They must have had some design changes at a later date than the one that was on there. I know playing the waves close to shore has potential for some damage, but they are so much fun.

I have two stock plates that are cracked and I have NEVER ridden surf... I guess they are just crappy aluminum. Maybe i beached the ski onto a rock? Who knows...
