I have a business trip that will out in me in Orlando/Altamont Springs for a few days on the first week of November. I have part of a morning to kill and I have a rent a wreck.

What kind of stuff is there to do around these parts?

Lots to do in orlando.

I'm not too fond of theme parks. I haven't been over that way in quite a while. One thing I will never forget from when I was there is the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. I was in my early teens, on a trip to disney world, and I spent my time talking about that place. My parents loved it too. Eat good food and watch a bunch of guys fight on horses. It was neat.

I don't know if that fits into your budget or schedule, but I thought it was really cool.

Too bad I'm flying in and out during the week days, I was hoping to check out some riding.

I just got back from my quick trip to orlando. I ended up working WAY more than I did playing, but I did drink a TON of beer, and eat a TON of food.

I did find Rachels (aka Seminole Steakhouse) on 436 in Altamonte springs, Kennedy Space Center (I'll be back for a full trip), and tons of cool nerdy work spots. Coco beach was fun, but I only spent an afternoon there.

I'm bummed that I missed the shuttle landing by 30 seconds!!! I was stuck in traffic!! And I looked all over for gators... and no luck.

I'm definately going back, I never thought I'd think Florida was cool. Those freaking toll roads are a freaking joke though.

beer is cheaper and it doesn't try to push you into spending more money than you want to spend

We got in and out of Rachels for the cost of 3 beers (each) and dinner. We didn't pay one cent for the ....

attractions.

And money is never an object when you are using a corporate card :)

I had the Ahi Tuna Steaks. It was by far the best tuna steak I have ever had. My buddy had some sort of steak and he raved about it as well.

For being a "club" I was impressed with 4 star food for 3 star prices...

I went on a Tuesday night so we got first class service.

Mako's is fun... Down town Church Street.

Hot chicks in hot outfits that work there, and usually quite a few hotties in the crowd of people.
