I'm curious, what would you use them for? I'm trying to think outside the box here.

Drink holder. j/k

I'm thinking.
Use them for making the transition over the bars to ride the hood and do fountains. But maybe not, just looks like it would help, like on a stand-up hood.

Here's how I get to the front of the ski when riding:

Hold the throttle so the ski is on a plane, about 1/4 throttle,
put both legs in the left tray, swing your left leg over the handle bars (still holding the throttle with your right hand) and step on the front right rail of the ski, then make a leap of faith and swing your right leg over the bars and land it on the left rail. While you do this, get ready to grab the throttle with your left hand (remember you have to squeeze the throttle with your left thumb now). As soon as you get to the front, gas it full throttle to plain and get your balance. It takes a little practice to get it right. Warning: Your lanyard will pop off a ton of times while learning. Use a zip tie and turn your idle down low. It makes it easier when learning.

I'll try and post some video. Once you do it, it becomes second nature.

Hope this helps.
