My last few deals here have been crappy, Im sick of it.

Too many children, and too many folks who arent honest...

No more buying from people that I do not know personally.

sad really, this was the safest place to buy, now its become no better than Egay, or pwcyesterday.

see man,

thats the rub, I dont know you from Adam, or steve, and your stuff was GOLDEN, perfect, exactly as described!

I have not yet had a chance to run the skat impeller.
water is cold, Im lazy!

I have to guess, also, if I had a problem with stuff you sold me, you most likely would not have wanted argue and biatch about it.

since you sent them to me first, and said " pay me if you like them, if not send them back"

duh, confidence in what you were selling

I wont be be buying nearly as much here, im tired of the headaches, and arguments, Ill simply buy new stuff, its easier on my already "raggedy ann" temper.

and, Moon, im still waiting on the camo thing pics..

Thats an option, but sometimes used parts are worth the little bit of wear on them when you consider your paying much MUCH less than overpriced OEM parts.

just my $.02

that is true, but his point is it is not worth the hassell of dealing with some people when they send stuff out that is not int quality that they listed it as, and you end up with something that is substandard and non usable.

Buying used is tricky... I just sold two items here and no one knows me from Adam. I guess pictures, accurate descriptions and maybe being friends of someone who is known here would help. It sucks people can't be honest and are out to screws others... it hurts everyone else in the end. If it was someone here and they didn't try to remedy the situation I say call them out.

^^ I bought one of those two items, and it was exactly what I expected. (I got it yesterday, btw)

I've seen you around the boards for years. I figured it was safe.

Little sidestory: So I bought this roundnose pole from CuzzinOlaf about a week or so ago.
I also sold my XMetal pole on Ebay. I packed that XMW up on Tuesday, wrapped in some cardboard pieces to make a box, and dropped it off at fedex.
Then I come home yesterday, to find a "package" looking almost identical to what I dropped off at Fedex the day before. Methinks....Sheet......why did they bring it back?

Then I realized it was the Pole I had bought a week earlier. The packaging job looked identical to mine.

Exactly right BK. He can always go to WDK and get what he needs.

Well... maybe not get what he needs.

But at least order what he needs.

Some other forums I have been on have "rep" points.....

make a sale, get some points.......similar to the ebay system, but only allows for +'s....

might be a good idea!

I use post count to judge if its safe to buy from someone....Ive taken a few risks and am lucky to not have been burned yet

Cool, good to know. I asked a good friend who is a regular on this board who I can and can't trust. Not that any of my items were high dollar but I still didn't want to get dicked around.

Funny story about the packaging job.. Glad everything worked out.

I don't 'know' anybody here but have bought from a half dozen and sold to about a dozen folks, and so far so good.

I guess someone has to give the newbie a first shot. I know I wouldn't want to mess up someone's order on here, some people show no mercy :AR15firing::soapbox::chairshot::rocketwhore:::::B ::Banane26::twak: which would make landing repeat business rather difficult.

I had few bad experience my self. I hope that you guys will keep an eyes on my listing. I did not sell much around here mostly on PWC since more peoples know me there and ebay with just under 1000' feedback and 3 neg. I hope you trust this rating. most of my customer don't even leave feedback here for me.

I think everything should come with a return policy. If you don't like it then send it back and get the money refunded. Each party is out the cost of shipping one way that's it and no one gets screwed. I don't sell much here but when I do (I don't print it in the ad but) if you had a problem let me know and I will give your money back. That is the way it should be.

I bought a 650 head off wedo and it came promptly just as desribed. Good deal! :bigok:

now if the stealer (local dealer, not wedo) with my $ would give me my head gasket I will run it! :burnout:

got two orders from louie, and stuff was clean! :bigok: more good deals

I thought the point of the negative thread was to name the bums who screwed you??? :chairshot:

in the nicest way of course, so the rest of the "community" knows

are you talking to me?

man, no idea, I dont think so though?

My memory is BAD though.

the last buyer made a very valid offer to correct and make it right, and I am having a freind look at the item to see if its worth fixing, or if I should return it for a refund.

either way....

you NEVER know, until you have done the deal, and the package is at your doorstep..

speaking of which, I am waiting on a B pipe from some dude in NJ.

I try to be an exception. I'd hate to screw someone. I figure I'm better off talking down my item and showing 20 pictures to get a few dollars less for it than to talk it up and show no pictures to screw someone with my POS for a few dollars more.

I don't know how people can be such dicks. If someone gave me their money and the package didn't go out as soon as physically possible, I'd loose sleep.

I have to be honest. The transactions I have completed with board members always went flawlessly, both buying and selling.

Transactions with some of the big name companies leave something to be desired...i.e. blowsion, hydroturf, riva.

I would rather buy a part from a board member any day of the week. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Vumad, and Marz,

keep in mind, ive had those experiences here too, ive been conducting business here for a while, it was generally good. It seems to me to be tapering towards something else.

Ill be more careful in the future.

This is another reason to support my request for details concerning For Sale Postings (pictures, location, price, etc). I'm sorry to hear things haven't been working out for you. I've had fairly decent luck... knock on wood.

after bad experiences on ebay i stick to the boards. Never send someone your money who hasn't been on the boards a while and never send money to anyone who only posts in the for sale. I have bought and sold here and had exceptional mileage with everyone pwc related. Except for fools on couchs, silly nuts. :Banane09:

i've bought and sold very few things on here from people..but i pretty much only try to stick to those people who have been around awhile..and always get pics before i do a deal...

Bedpost
10-14-2007, 01:57 AM
exactly.. Your odds of getting screwed are alot less if the person has been arround for a while and has a decent reputation.. I usualy look at how many posts a person has, how long they have been arround... and sometimes ill look at old posts theyve made just to make sure they have a good reputation.. even still.. theres always that chance.

the only issue with the PW50 was the fact that it shocked me while riding it, but that was my fault.

I guess I've been lucky so far but everyone I've bought from has been good and one thing I've learned is to describe it accurately and then if the way you described it than they don't have a beef .

I just sold a pump on Ebay and described it as having gouges where the bearings go not sure if this is useable and it still sold so as long as they know what they are getting than your good .

the price should also reflect the condition of the item .A pump minus the shaft and impeller with gouges where the bearings go sold for $40 .

Just a follow up.

I got the B pipe from the guy in NJ.

SUPER nice guy, total stranger, never even heard of him, but he kept in touch, pipe shipped when he said it would, and it is in GREAT shape, and it was a BARGAIN!

so, I guess we take the bad with the good , hit and miss, roll the dice, flip the coin, tease the bull, whatever.

Hmmm...I've done probably 450+ transactions on various sites over the past year..alot of buying and selling and only had maybe 3 negative transactions. All of them were me buying..not from me selling. If I have junk, I list it as that and hope someone can still make use out of it and its price accordingly.

You have to cover your bases...make sure you will be protected through paypal, and if not use a credit card. I deal with people I dont know and will probably never meet every day...chance you take I guess. If not you might as well pick up your local paper and look in the classifieds...sort of a thing of the past though.
