Figured I'd start this forum off. I have 2 Octanes... One original and one thats a Yamaha Hybrid.

I'm here to tell you they are 100% different in every way... Power, handling, weight, hookup. This is a very underrated and misunderstood ski (and hull). :headbang:

I hope you mean "welcome to the Octane Forum" cause I've been around the "X" since it's inception... :biggthumpup:

I plan on doing a full writeup in the "My Ski" forum as soon as I have time to snap some good pics of the Hybrid Octane, aka: OctaJet.

Whatever, I dont give a sh!t about that... the fact is this hull is not ready for surf abuse by ANYBODY. It is a little flimsy in the nose and sides - not Pancake worthy! Needs a little reinforcement. I've seen what Pete does to lightweight Wammer hulls in the surf! :ouch:

So... you coming to Pismo? I might be compelled to cook breakfast. Although blowing sand tends to make pancakes a little gritty!

Neilcakes has multiple definitions too LOL Funny stuff right there.

Hey fokker, how come you're not flying out? :pokey:
Multiple definitions... I'm lost? :shrug:

Neilcakes = Famous breakfast food.

Neilcakes = Neil doing half of a BR or BF.

:biggrin:

Hope you're in a better mood this morning.

I like it here also. Although I will probably keep my posting to a minimum, I have always loved Octanes. Maybe why I put one in my SJ.
