OK, I'm here! Great to see an X2 only thread. Sorry but the TS made it into the photo as well.

The white one is my 93. Photos were taken with the original build 650, which blew up 7/4/07. Big pin robbed from my 87. Paid $150 for it as a basket case. Last winter's project.
The purple and aqua was my first X2. An 86 I built into a limited. Miss that ski and miss the dog too.
The blue one is the 87 I still have. 750 small pin slated to go in this winter.

Beats me. If you search all through his photos, he has some hoods for SJ's and a trim piece for an X2 steering as well as foot holds for an X2. He was selling a steering cover/trim piece on eBay awhile back. It was 60 bucks and 30 shipping. I wish I would have bought it then. That is much cheaper than what you can get one from Japan. I asked him if he had any of the battery boxes and he said it was a one time piece that he bought. I don't know if he is making parts or has friends who are. That cylinder looks like a Yamaha one anyway :( I want a big bore Kawasaki P/V engine.

That orange X2 of his is PIMP! Those holes in the tray are sweet looking.

Thanks, those were my first skis, both built/designed by Eric Burton, on a custom trailer. That pic is after about 4-5 years of countless hours of riding. They were all westcoast, definitely the shizznit back in the day :-)

Here are some pics from the other day when my brother came down to the ramp. He picked up a sweet new camera that takes some good fast shots, and wanted me to try some rolls. I was worn out after a day of riding, and this is all I could manage! The quality of the pics have been reduced quite a bit for here, but I was amazed at the speed of the camera.

yep it is summer here been going out rideing lots but no one to take pics working on that tho , just got a camera for diveing so hoping to use that for jetski as well .

Not that hard. You just have to make a pattern out of construction board first, and cut the turf wide and long so you can trim it.

Any tips on keeping the turf wrapped around the rail while the glue dries (aside from a whole lot of clamps)? I'm using DAP Weldwood contact cement for application

Hiro is the route to go, but sometimes he is hard to get ahold of and harder to understand when you do...I usually do my shopping at world finals, SE, Unlimited and others have booths there, and you can bargain them down too instead of paying full price thru the catalog sales. Thats where I scored my SE steering system, and paid nearly $200 less than catalog price! I am hoping to snag up one of the custom X2 dry pipes this year :-)

That is a real nice X2, I like the colors and the design alot. What hood and steering is that? Withthe yami motor what pipe are you running?

The steering is SE, the hull and hood is SE carbon/glass, I have had to add some carbon-kevlar after the hull suffered delamination on hull and hood.
Built my own drypipe, still doing testing when I get the chance, been a bit of a process but worth it. Two weeks ago I tested for 15min, had to take painkillers for my arms afterwards.
Waiting for exhaust and sparkplug thermocouple probes to arrive so I can do final testing.
A test pipe with 9/18 cones for hp peak of 6000rpm on a exh timing of 80ATDC:

Nothing special.
All stock 86 X2, unmolested and completely untouched by original owner.
I have added blue bars with red grips, oil injection block off plate. Eliminated stock fuel selector and replaced all hoses.
500 gph bilge pump. Rebuilt carb and fuel pump. In process of adding lanyard face.
I am the second owner, my first running ski.
I have named it "GO" in honor of my 2 year old grandson, i set him on it he looked at me and said "GO"

Well I started the season out with two but I am down to one. The orange one was a custon lightweight hull with a yamaha 760. It had a b pipe ported cylinders and cases lighten flywheel big carbs and a few other goodies but this one sunk to the bottom of the ocean in florida on its first ride. the pink one is a 750 bored to an 820 with an msd b pipe lightened flywheel big carbs ported cylinders and cases and a few other things.
