My wife recently had her boobs done and I have a bunch of pictures in a folder that she would rather nobody but her and I see.
I would really like to know how to hide a single folder without hiding everything else or having to use a password just to get into windows.

easy way is to not keep such things on the pc at all. Burn to cd and store someplace secure.

Make a zip file using Winzip and put a password on it.

I didnt have to talk her into anything, it was all her idea, I just had to give up a new YZ450F for them.

in case anyone wondered about the alt1060 thing it is actually alt 0160. Must be entered on the number pad with num lock on. highlight the folder name and type that to rename the folder to a blank space. You can then change the icon to a blank as well so the folder is sort of invisible.
Note this is not secure at all since anything in the folder will easily show up if someone does a search. If you check the "hidden" option then someone will need to be smart enough to specify "search within hidden folders". I'd guess any 6 yr old will know how to do that these days.

I would always just bury pictures like those somewhere in the program files or windows operating folder. Well when my mom was searching for a jpg file on my PC one day these um... kind of .. dirty pics of two drunk girls (4-some) with my friend and I came up. She said what is this? I said "the best night of my life" and X'd out the window. From now on, mom isn't allowed to use my computer under my username. She can use the guest account. Besides it was college... god how I miss college...
