Nice, some deep powder. I just picked up a Arctic Cat M6 to play with off trail and in the hills. :shhh:

Here's the M7. Even the 163" track only helps so much:Eyecrazy:

I was paralyzed on my 144"

Love the bikes in winter. A few years back we had a guy here that rode all winter. Pretty sure it was a KTM as well. He rutted up a few of our groomed trials and just about got lynched.

Is that in that play area not too far from Houghton? I saw that hill but it was way too icey and bare to want to try. You studded or just got a good running start? It looked like a decent hill but with the rocks/ruts it definitely needed more snow for me.

CuzzinOlaf, yeah that is the play area south of Houghton. Just a mile north of South Range. I am unstudded and it was the perfect day to climb it. It was the weekend after they got that huge 36" storm(the one that swept across the entire north woods) 2 years ago. Some of the best riding i have had up there. No ruts or crap sticking out and the snow was packed down just enough for an unstudded sled to give it a run. Started at the bottom and held it wid open the whole way up. Its a good way to get your heart pounding a little...cuz when you are going up it is a lot steaper than it looks.

I just looked at my sleds last week in the trailer. They don't come out to mid-November, I'm still in jetski mode.

Nice, I thought I recognized that hill. That play area is great. I definitely love the area between Houghton and Rockland for off trail and play areas. I assume you made it up with ease? I'll give it a shot this year if the conditions are good. There was no way in hell I was gonna try it that day with all the exposed dirt, ice, etc.

Yeah and the nice thing is, if you dont feel like climbing it you can normaly make it up the side of it through the woods on a trail people have beat down. So you can still make it to the top and take a picture or two.

So CuzzinOlaf, do you ride Cats or Yami's... or both? You should head over to www.totallyamaha.com and check it out. Best group of sled guys on the net.

Here's a couple I have... Video is on a lake up in Gwen and the pic and jump video was taken in Frederic, MI.

You should come to the Munising ride at the end of January / first of February. Should be 50-60 people there and it's always a great time.

I will try to make it. I haven't ridden out in Munising yet. Is it all trail riding? Do they get any group rates with places to stay?
