This is not mine, but I took the picture at last year's FreestyleFest 5
in Michigan. Not even sure whose ski this was, but instead of Hydroturf,
it had shag carpet. Nice!!

I remember that ski. The guy who owned it couldn't get it started for like hours. Something to do with the electrical I believe, but nonetheless, a cool x2!!!

Here's the one I did last year. Came out great and now it belongs to a friend living in Arkansas. Turns out after all that work I'm really more of a superjet person.

so a bpipe will fit a 750?
factory makes a b-pipe for a 750 kinda looks like a blaster mod. pete has a 750 b-pipe on his x2 but uses a superjet chamber
onesojourner
05-06-2006, 08:37 PM
are the 750 bpipes as effective as on the kawi as they are on the 701? what is the advantage of using the superjet chamber over the 750 chamber?
and are the 750 bpipes as hard to come by?
Legdragger
05-06-2006, 09:31 PM
nah its a superjet pipe
I originally had a Factory pipe 650 wet pipe then realized it was the same as the pipe I had on my SJ. So I found a limited chamber for a SJ and swapped it for the old 650 kawi chamber. I think it is a good combination for the big bore kawi motor. It is all about the low rpm BRAAP! I have herd the wetpipe for the Yamaha and kawi are alomost the same thing. I like the Yamaha's lower center of gravity compared to the Kawi "mod pipe" design.

did you clear it? and from my own experience if you do any kind of jumping i would get the lock setup for your fuel door. i lost a few of them that didn't have them. nice ski by the way whats it have for motor mods? if any....
no clear. the white appliance epoxy paint has pretty good gloss to it as long as you give it a 2 or 3 coats. the stainless steel is non-gloss(dont recommend it, i just used it because i bought it). the engine in bone stock. it was sitting in someones yard for about 5 years when i picked it up this winter. so im just gonna ride it this summer and see how i might want to mod it next winter. the gas filler cover is probably gonna get replaced by one with a latch when i find one.

I think unless you are going to run a Lamey there isn't much advantage to a yamaha motor as long as you do the big bore sleeves in the 750 motor. It is a big job to get a Yamaha in there.

Thanks. Now I got to find a clear coat that will protect my paint from the fuel. I finished painting it about a month ago,,,, got the decals done at a local shop and then winterized it. While winterizing I spilled some fuel around the cap and the paint got kinda weird. It did not peel completly but it faded a bit. Ill see if my Autoparts store has some paint protectant I could spray on in the spring. Its kinda cold here now to work with paint.
