Looking to purchase a new crank for my spare 701 62T motor I am building any recommendations? Thinking about going Wiseco. Who has got the best price on cranks?
Thanks

I've got a Wiseco in mine currently, works fine. I've seen them for $340 or so before, can't remember where though.

$340 is a great price for a Wiseco crank. I had one and it last me season strong but got trashed by a crack piston skirt. We can get them for you for $419. It's $50 off of retail.

Give Paul L a call when he gets back. He gave me a good deal on a crank assembley.

i had a good experience w/ atlantic jet sports. i'd recommend them. but after talking with paul at magoos, i'd have a hard time going anywhere else seeing how much he is supporting the sport right now.

I am planning on calling this Paul I see that he is highly recommended for porting work. I have a cylinder that needs some freestyle porting. I will try to give him a call today.

I'm not sure if Paul is going to be in today, they drove all night last night to get back home from Daytona.

Just an FYI & clarification there is a difference between HotRod cranks and actual Wiseco cranks. Wiseco and Hot Rod had a long standing relationship but have mutually split ways, in a positive manner. Wiseco is making their own cranks as of early spring 05 R&D started and testing on a couple models. There are limited models available right now. As of last I heard the 701 was not yet in production, but they could be available by now so call. (They are also still selling Hot Rod cranks.) I have definitely made sure they know people are salivating :32: for a good stroker crank at a reasonable price. However it is still low on their priority list. Both Hot Rod and Wiseco cranks are/will be top quality and it will be hard to go wrong with either one.
As a side note a couple of the people over there have taken notice of the Freeride movement and it is raising some eyebrows! Make sure the site and rides stay positive and corporate backing from companies like that should follow and help grow the movement.

SBT is JUNK. cheap mass produced with cheap bearings. Not very straight either.

I split a rebuild kit with a guy, he needed pistons and gaskets and I needed a crank. All and all from AJS we got the kit for 600...so I only paid like 350 for the hot rods crank shipped to my house. Not that bad of a deal.
i recently talked to the guys at wiseco and they do not know when they will be getting the 701 cranks in but they don't have them now .
the hot rods i have seem s nice. thanks to paul
now i just have to get this damn glass work done so i can start the motor rebuild
