he probably didn't like the insinuation of being called out as a liar. I know a lot fo couch riders that swear their ride goes 60 -70 mph. The speedo on those things are crap. But a lot of peeps believe they are giving an accurate speed.

I was actually making reference to bill o, the new seadoo guru over there. someone asked what the highest speed on a doo was and he replied 105. I called BS and he got huffy. someone ended up correcting his info. :biggrin:

It seems to be fairly common that people overestimate speed, especially if it's their own equipment.

i own a 96 sea-doo xp (i know, i know:rolleyes: its for friends to get them out on the lake) but anyways, its maybe 56mph. was raced in stock class in the worlds so its got the handling goodies. but my brother swears he can beat anyone on the lake with it. i try to convice him that any of the new skis could slaughter him on top speed. but he refuses to believe it. even says hes faster with 2 people on it. i seriously cant believe he actually thinks that cause he has a killer 250R and knows what speed is. Just one of those things i guess...
