Hey fellas,

We need a logo that may potentially become stickers and also silkscreened onto t-shirts.

Can any of you photochop experts whip up something Texas-freeride oriented?

It will proababy also be used on a flyer, which should be a PDF we can download here and print. I will leave some at local dealerships. It will have a lose schedule so people will know when to stick around for dinner for swag giveaway.

Yep, it's good that it has become a group thing, but it is confusing all at the same time.

Does KINKO's allow you to download and print something from their facility? Or do you have to bring your file to print with you? There is a Kinko's on I-10 that I am going to use to print some flyers that I will run around on the west side of town here.

Penguin, thanks for the offer. When we get a logo, I'll post a PDF here that anybody can d/l and print. If I drive by any dealerships, I'll just use the Kinko's nearby, but if you have access to colored paper, you could print some to bring to the ride as well.

SJBrit, do I have to wait till Riot Ride to see your Union Jack ski again or you coming to TX?

I can print the flyers. We have a color laser printer (for anything up to 8.5" x 14") we also have a large format color inkjet that can print 36" wide by whatever length.

SJ Brit is gonna be here.

Oh, I think b/w text/images on colored paper is good enough for a flyer.

A colorized version could have the TX flag imposed inside the state's outline (of course that's been done a thousand times).

I was going for one color to make it easy for vinyl decals. Anybody else, Ronny included is welcome (and encouraged) to contribute... Especially with the full color stuff, thats not my forte. I am no graphic artist but I can cut some decent vinyl...

Thanks but that file format doesnt work for me. I need a .eps saved to an older version (Illustrator 4.0 or previous) to work on my old-azz equipment.

I believe Pete has already contacted Jerry about t-shirts on behalf of the Texas ride. Shawn, why don't you email me (prem1x@yahoo.com) with what you can do for 100 shirts and we'll get everyone on the email chain to hash it out.

Do we need to vote on a winner here? Is anybody else going to try something? So far, I like the continuity that Ronny's logo brings. Neil logo has great potential too. Neil, are you going to bring your X-H20-tagged version to the table? Thanks to both these guys for taking to time to whip these up!!

I don't have any special connections or anything - it was just an offer to get it done. So I'm fine with Jerry (is that jetskier79?) taking care of business.

I am aware of a t-shirt company here in Houston that uses a "new" process for doing logos and such. It is not a standard screen print - but the dye is actually injected into the shirt creating a permanent transfer. No possibility of it ever flaking off. When finished it looks like the shirt was "tatoo'd" I don't know what the process is called - just floating the idea....don't nobody get pissed at me.

I can provide an address in Crystal Beach for shipping so nobody has to deal with hauling them down there.

T-shirt comapny here in College Station that just about every school organization uses to get t-shirts. The annual maroon out shirts are $5.

Not sure we could get a price break like that seeing we will not place a 40,000+ shirt order. Let me know if I need to check it out.

I have no problem with Riot & their content, In the world of "Extreme sport" what they show is the "Norm". Doesn't mean everyone has to View it. Thats why there's sites like the X & pwct.
As for the draw, We are more likely to pull new riders from sites like pwct than Riot...................... Riot will draw more from us actually,

OK, I liked the Red, White, and Blue in the circle (representing the Texas Flag). I am working this out to make the shirts a reality.
Seems they will be around $7/shirt.

Flash-FX: good logo, but your texas is too linear (especially on the gulf) and your star is somewhere near El Paso.

I toyed with Ronny's logo, I know thats blasphemous, well this is what I have. The logos were removed from inside the Ride logo to a more promient location. The center logo was so perfect I did not want to interfere and squish the logos inside it, so I moved them outside where they are more visible.

What do you think?

I saved the image in high res and am willing to make any changes you guys want.
I know Riot is risque, and some people are hesitant with any involvement with us. Its all good. We are fully aware of our place in the media, and are willing to accept the fact that some people wont want anything to do with us.
My/our goal is to promote jetskiing to the action sports world. Some wont like our approch to it, but it still getting out there.
If anyone doesnt want Riot on ANY logo I create. I seriously dont mind one bit.
I just wanna help out any way i can.
I never would have put the Riot logo on the design if Paul didnt suggest it. :wink:
